George Russell took pole position in the Barcelona qualifying and showed that he is "here" in the title fight. Hamilton second with the renewed Ferrari, Antonelli third!

One week after his disastrous race in the Principality, George Russell sent his own strong message to his teammate, Kimi Antonelli, in the battle between the two for the Formula 1 title!

The British Mercedes driver set the fastest time in the Barcelona qualifying and with a time of 1:14.679 he took his third pole position this year, making it "7 out of 7" for the "silver arrows"!

The big surprise, however, was Lewis Hamilton, with the seven-time world champion putting in a stunning performance in the upgraded Ferrari, finishing just 64 milliseconds behind Russell!

Indeed, the 41-year-old British Scuderia driver... forced F1 prodigy Kimi Antonelli to start a Grand Prix from second place on the grid for the first time this year, as the young Italian finished in 3rd place.

Lando Norris was in fourth place with the first McLaren, leaving behind the two Red Bulls and Verstappen and Hajar.

Charles Leclerc was the big loser in the qualifying process, with the Monegasque Ferrari driver starting tomorrow's race from 10th place after the accident he had during Q3.

The race on the impressive "Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya" track will start on Sunday at 16:00 Greek time.

Ο Τζορτζ Ράσελ κατέκτησε την pole position στις κατατακτήριες δοκιμές της Βαρκελώνης και έδειξε ότι είναι «εδώ» στη μάχη του τίτλου. Δεύτερος με την ανανεωμένη Ferrari ο Χάμιλτον, τρίτος ο Αντονέλι!

Μία εβδομάδα μετά τον καταστροφικό του αγώνα στο Πριγκιπάτο, ο Τζορτζ Ράσελ έστειλε το δικό του ηχηρό μήνυμα προς τον teammate του, Κίμι Αντονέλι, στη μάχη των δύο για τον τίτλο της Formula 1!

Ο Βρετανός πιλότος της Mercedes έκανε τον ταχύτερο χρόνο στις κατατακτήριες δοκιμές της Βαρκελώνης και με χρόνο 1:14.679 κατέκτησε την τρίτη του φετινή pole position, κάνοντας παράλληλα το «7 στα 7» για τα «ασημένια βέλη»!

Τη μεγάλη έκπληξη ωστόσο την έκανε ο Λιούις Χάμιλτον, με τον επτάκις παγκόσμιο πρωταθλητή να πραγματοποιεί εκπληκτική εμφάνιση με την αναβαθμισμένη Ferrari, τερματίζοντας μόλις 64 χιλιοστά του δευτερολέπτου πιο πίσω από τον Ράσελ!

Μάλιστα, ο 41χρονος Βρετανός πιλότος της Scuderia... ανάγκασε για πρώτη φορά φέτος το παιδί-θαύμα της F1, Κίμι Αντονέλι, να εκκινήσει σε Grand Prix από τη δεύτερη θέση του grid, καθώς ο νεαρός Ιταλός τερμάτισε στην 3η θέση.

Στην τέταρτη θέση βρέθηκε ο Λάντο Νόρις με την πρώτη McLaren, αφήνοντας πίσω του τις δύο Red Bull και τους Φερστάπεν και Χάτζαρ.

Μεγάλος άτυχος της διαδικασίας των κατατακτήριων ήταν ο Σαρλ Λεκλέρ, με τον Μονεγάσκο πιλότο της Ferrari να εκκινεί στον αυριανό αγώνα από τη 10η θέση μετά το ατύχημα που είχε κατά τη διάρκεια του Q3.

Ο αγώνας στην εντυπωσιακή πίστα του «Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya» θα ξεκινήσει την Κυριακή στις 16:00 ώρα Ελλάδας.
