OFI and Fountas reach a final agreement until 2029!

OFI and Taxiarchis Fountas have agreed on a new three-year contract.

OFI is keeping one of the most important and pivotal players of the past season.

According to the latest information, there is a final agreement with Taxiarchis Fountas for the renewal of the cooperation between the two sides. The agreement provides for a new three-year contract, until the summer of 2029, with the Greek midfielder remaining a resident of Crete. With the deal being sealed upon Fountas' return from his vacation, when the signatures will be signed.

All this and while Aris appeared to be quite close to Fountas in recent weeks, however, the "push" from the side of OFI owner Michalis Bousis, and the discussions with Ilias Poursanidis played an important role in the 31-year-old staying with the team.

In the last two years with the black and whites, Taxiarchis Fountas has made 67 appearances with 19 goals, even scoring in the recent Cup final to help OFI win the trophy.

ΟΦΗ και Ταξιάρχης Φούντας έχουν συμφωνήσει για νέο τριετές συμβόλαιο.

Έναν από τους πιο σημαντικούς και κομβικούς ποδοσφαιριστές της σεζόν που μας πέρασε κρατάει ο ΟΦΗ.

Σύμφωνα με τις τελευταίες πληροφορίες, υπάρχει οριστική συμφωνία με τον Ταξιάρχη Φούντα για την ανανέωση της συνεργασίας των δύο πλευρών. Η συμφωνία προβλέπει νέο συμβόλαιο διάρκειας τριών ετών, ως το καλοκαίρι του 2029, με τον Έλληνα μεσοεπιθετικό να παραμένει κάτοικος Κρήτης. Με το deal να σφραγίζεται με την επιστροφή του Φούντα από τις διακοπές του, όταν και θα πέσουν οι υπογραφές.

Όλα αυτά και ενώ ο Άρης παρουσιαζόταν να βρίσκεται αρκετά κοντά στον Φούντα τις τελευταίες εβδομάδες, ωστόσο το «μπάσιμο» από την πλευρά του ιδιοκτήτη του ΟΦΗ, Μιχάλη Μπούση, και οι συζητήσεις με τον Ηλία Πουρσανίδη έπαιξαν σημαντικό ρόλο για να μείνει στην ομάδα ο 31χρονος.

Την τελευταία διετία με τους ασπρόμαυρους, ο Ταξιάρχης Φούντας εχει 67 εμφανίσεις με 19 γκολ, σκοράροντας μάλιστα και στον πρόσφατο τελικό του Κυπέλλου για να βοηθήσει τον ΟΦΗ να κατακτήσει το τρόπαιο.
