EuroLeague: Montero MVP of the fourth round of the playoffs

Jean Montero is the MVP of the fourth round of the playoffs, with his performance in Game 4 between Valencia and Panathinaikos AKTOR setting a record for rating points in the history of the EuroLeague playoffs.

Valencia took the series to the fifth and final game, after prevailing 86-89 over Panathinaikos AKTOR in Game 4 with Jean Montero putting in a tremendous performance.

Montero finished the game with 29 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds. He also had 3 steals, 4 turnovers, 2 fouls while winning 8, accumulating 45 points in the rating system.

This was the highest PIR score in EuroLeague playoff history since the format was adopted in the 2004-05 season.

As expected, after this performance, Montero was named MVP of the fourth round of the playoffs.

In its post, the EuroLeague wrote: ““The Problem”, or Jean Montero, was the man of the moment, making a historic performance to send the series to Game 5”

Ο Ζαν Μοντέρο είναι ο MVP της τέταρτης αγωνιστικής των playoffs, με την εμφάνισή του στο Game 4 ανάμεσα στη Βαλένθια και τον Παναθηναϊκό AKTOR να αποτελεί ρεκόρ βαθμών αξιολόγησης στην ιστορία των playoffs της EuroLeague.

Η Βαλένθια οδήγησε τη σειρά σε πέμπτο και τελευταίο παιχνίδι, αφού επικράτησε με 86-89 του Παναθηναϊκού AKTOR στο Game 4 με τον Ζαν Μοντέρο να πραγματοποιεί τρομερή εμφάνιση.

Ο Μοντέρο ολοκλήρωσε τον αγώνα με 29 πόντους, 7 ασίστ και 7 ριμπάουντ. Είχε επίσης 3 κλεψίματα, 4 λάθη, 2 φάουλ ενώ κέρδισε 8, συγκεντρώνοντας 45 βαθμούς στο σύστημα αξιολόγησης.

Αυτή ήταν η υψηλότερη βαθμολογία PIR στην ιστορία των playoffs της EuroLeague από τότε που υιοθετήθηκε η συγκεκριμένη μορφή τη σεζόν 2004-05.

Όπως ήταν αναμενόμενο, μετά από αυτή την εμφάνιση, ο Μοντέρο αναδείχθηκε MVP της τέταρτης αγωνιστικής των playoffs.

Στην ανάρτησή της η EuroLeague έγραψε: ““Το Πρόβλημα”, ή αλλιώς ο Ζαν Μοντέρο, ήταν ο άνθρωπος της στιγμής, κάνοντας μία ιστορική εμφάνιση για να στείλει τη σειρά σε Game 5”
