Paris Saint-Germain: Kvaratshelia named Champions League Player of the Season

Hvitsa Kvaratshelia named Champions League Player of the Season, winning the title for the second consecutive year with Paris Saint-Germain.

Last year it was Ousmane Dembele, this year the award for the best player of the season in the Champions League went to Hvitsa Kvaratshelia! UEFA announced that the Georgian player was named MVP of the 2025/26 season, a few hours after winning the title for the second consecutive year with Paris Saint-Germain.

The 25-year-old midfielder scored ten goals and provided six assists as Paris Saint-Germain cruised to another title, playing 83 minutes in the final against Arsenal, winning the penalty that Dembele equalised with in the 65th minute and hitting the post. Kwara was named the young player of the season in the competition three years ago, and the same year he was also named Serie A player of the year.

Shortly after the announcement of the player of the year, UEFA also announced the best XI, which included five players from Paris, three from Arsenal, two from Bayern Munich and one from Atletico Madrid.

Παίκτης της σεζόν στο Champions League ανακηρύχθηκε ο Χβίτσα Κβαρατσχέλια, που κατέκτησε τον τίτλο για δεύτερη συνεχόμενη χρονιά με την Παρί Σεν Ζερμέν.

Πέρυσι ήταν ο Ουσμάν Ντεμπελέ, φέτος το βραβείο του κορυφαίου ποδοσφαιριστή της σεζόν στο Champions League πήγε στον Χβίτσα Κβαρατσχέλια! Η UEFA ανακοίνωσε πως ο Γεωργιανός παικταράς ανακηρύχθηκε MVP της σεζόν 2025/26, λίγες ώρες μετά τη δεύτερη συνεχόμενη κατάκτηση του τίτλου με την Παρί Σεν Ζερμέν.

Ο 25χρονος μεσοεπιθετικός μέτρησε δέκα γκολ και έξι ασίστ κατά τη διάρκεια της πορείας των Παριζιάνων προς έναν ακόμη τίτλο, ενώ αγωνίστηκε για 83 λεπτά στον μεγάλο τελικό με την Άρσεναλ, κερδίζοντας το πέναλτι με το οποίο ο Ντεμπελέ ισοφάρισε στο 65ο λεπτό και έχοντας ένα σουτ στο δοκάρι. Ο Κβάρα είχε βγει νεαρός παίκτης της σεζόν στον θεσμό πριν από μία τριετία, ενώ την ίδια χρονιά είχε βγει κορυφαίος της χρονιάς και στη Serie A.

Λίγο μετά την ανακοίνωση του κορυφαίου της χρονιάς, η UEFA έκανε γνωστή και την καλύτερη ενδεκάδα, την οποία αποτέλεσαν πέντε παίκτες της Παρί, τρεις της Άρσεναλ, δύο της Μπάγερν Μονάχου και ένας της Ατλέτικο Μαδρίτης.
