Bad news for Mendy at Real Madrid as the French left-back will be out for a year after suffering a tendon rupture in his right leg.

The French full-back was injured in the 3-0 Champions League win over Manchester City, with the Queen initially reporting that it was a muscle problem in his biceps.
In the end, things are much worse since after specialized tests it was determined that the 29-year-old player will need about a year to return to active action along with his recovery.
The Tricolor defender will obviously miss the rest of the current season with Real Madrid and the 2026 World Cup, which is approaching. Initial estimates suggest that the player will return to the field at the end of the 2026-27 season or at the beginning of the 2027-28 season.
