Athletic Bilbao: Terzic era on the Basque bench
Edin Terzic is the chosen replacement for Ernesto Valverde on the Athletic Bilbao bench.
Terzic era in Bilbao! The 43-year-old former Dortmund coach returns to the bench for the Basques, taking on the difficult task of returning Athletic to success, after a mediocre season.
Ernesto Valverde stayed on the team bench for four years, with the former Barcelona, Espanyol and Olympiacos coach having announced that he will step down from... the helm of his beloved Bilbao, at the end of the current season.
Therefore, the German coach will be his successor, despite initial rumors that the Basques are closer to Iraola, after the fantastic year he is having with Bournemouth.
Terzic left Borussia in June 2024 and has not taken charge of a team since then. He had two stints in the Westphalian team, in the 2020-21 season, where he sat on the bench for 29 matches and in the 2022-2024 period, where he guided the Ruhr Valley team in 96 matches.

O Ερνέστο Βαλβέρδε έμεινε στον πάγκο της ομάδας τέσσερα χρόνια, με τον πρώην τεχνικό της Μπαρτσελόνα, της Εσπανιόλ και του Ολυμπιακού να έχει γνωστοποιήσει πως θα αποχωρήσει από το... τιμόνι της αγαπημένης του Μπιλμπάο, στο τέλος της τρέχουσας σεζόν.
Ως εκ τούτου, ο Γερμανός τεχνικός θα είναι ο διάδοχος του, παρά τις αρχικές φήμες πως οι Βάσκοι είναι πιο κοντά στον Ιραόλα, μετά τη φανταστική χρονιά που κάνει με τη Μπόρνμουθ.
Ο Τέρζιτς αποχώρησε από τη Μπορούσια τον Ιούνιο του 2024 και έκτοτε δεν έχει αναλάβει κάποια ομάδα. Στην ομάδα της Βεστφαλίας είχε δύο θητείες, τη σεζόν 2020-21, όπου έκατσε στον πάγκο για 29 αναμετρήσεις και το διάστημα 2022-2024, όπου καθοδήγησε την ομάδα της κοιλάδας του Ρουρ, σε 96 ματς.
