Ο Ισπανός μέσος θα χάσει αρκετούς μήνες αγωνιστικής δράσης και παρότι εκτιμάται πως θα επανέλθει πριν το τέλος της σεζόν, είναι σε κίνδυνο η συμμετοχή του στο Μουντιάλ, καθώς ο ανταγωνισμός για τις θέσεις των χαφ είναι πολύ ισχυρός.

Ο 29χρονος άσος, που είχε μείνει εκτός αποστολής και για το Μουντιάλ του 2022, είχε φέτος 33 συμμετοχές, 6 γκολ και 3 ασίστ.
