Real Madrid: Courtois awaits... City in the "16"
Thibaut Courtois, in his statements after Real Madrid's qualification to the "16" of the Champions League, referred to... the next opponent.
For another year, Real Madrid is "present" in the 16 top teams of the Champions League, having eliminated Benfica in the intermediate round of the Playoffs with an aggregate score of 3-1.
The "Merenges" are now waiting to learn their opponent against the backdrop of the quarter-finals of the institution, knowing that it will be either Manchester City or Sporting.
However, it seems that Thibaut Courtois has no doubt that his team will once again find Pep Guardiola's team in its path, in the draw on Friday (27/2). Ο Τιμπό Κουρτουά στις δηλώσεις του μετά την πρόκριση της Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης στους «16» του Champions League αναφέρθηκε στην... προσεχή αντίπαλο.
Για ακόμη μια χρονιά η Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης δίνει το «παρών» στις 16 κορυφαίες ομάδες του Champions League, έχοντας αποκλείσει την Μπενφίκα στον ενδιάμεσο γύρο των Playoffs με το συνολικό 3-1.
Οι «Μερένγκχες» πλέον περιμένουν να μάθουν αντίπαλο με φόντο τα προημιτελικά του θεσμού, γνωρίζοντας πως αυτός θα είναι είτε η Μάντσεστερ Σίτι είτε η Σπόρτινγκ.
Φαίνεται όμως πως ο Τιμπό Κουρτουά δεν έχει καμία αμφιβολία για το γεγονός πως η ομάδα του θα βρει ξανά στον δρόμο της εκείνη του Πεπ Γκουαρδιόλα, στην κλήρωση της Παρασκευής (27/2). Ο Βέλγος πορτιέρε σε δηλώσεις του μετά το φινάλε του αγώνα με τους «Αετούς», με δόση χιούμορ αλλά και... αγανάκτησης, ανέφερε πως «Όλοι γνωρίζουν ότι θα είναι η Μάντσεστερ Σίτι στην κλήρωση».
