AEL Novibet - Panserraikos 1-0

With a goal from Chagal (49'), the spirited AEL took the valuable victory (1-0) in a "must-win" game against Panserraikos and breathed - again - in terms of points in the...hunt for staying in the Super League.

Panserraikos entered the game with stronger...footsteps, but without threatening the home team's goal, who gradually began to balance the match.

The first good (double) moment was recorded in the 17th minute for AEL. Direct execution of a free kick by Sankal, Tsombanidis parried, Garate took the...rebound and headed the ball out.

Great opportunity for Panserraikos to open the score in the 39th minute. Riera's shot from a shooting position went just over the goal.

In the 40th minute, Tsombanidis made an unsuccessful attempt, Garate nipped the ball that ended up just outside the right post.

In the third minute of injury time in the first half, Pantelakis headed in a corner kick, Tsombanidis made a crucial save and kept his goal intact.

The match started with a goal from the… locker room in the second half.

Chagal scores

In the 46th minute, Chagal's header was cleared by Tsombanidis onto the line, Chagal pushed the ball into the net but an offensive foul was called.

VAR had a different opinion and after the re-check of the phase the goal counted normally and thus AEL took the lead (1-0).

In the 60th minute a penalty was given to Panserraikos, when after a corner kick by Kalinin, the ball found its way into Olafsson's hand. In the end, the referee went to re-check the phase (after a VAR call) and took the penalty back.

In the 81st minute Panserraikos scored with Teixeira, however the goal was canceled as offside with the final 1-0...locking the match and sealing the victory of Thessalonis.

Second consecutive victory for AEL (after the three-pointer with Aris) which clearly shows an improved image with Savvas Pantelidis on its bench, it is throwing valuable points in the bag and is above the relegation zone.

Panserraikos fought the match at the "AEL FC Arena" however it did not manage to have a points advantage and left empty-handed.

Referee Giorgos Kokkinos (Chalkidiki) showed yellow cards to Kalinin, Riera, Sourlis, Olafsson, Iliadis, Garate, Pantelakis, Teixeira, Lyratzis, while in the 95th minute Brooks was sent off (via VAR).

Με γκολ του Σαγκάλ (49΄) η ψυχωμένη ΑΕΛ πήρε την πολύτιμη νίκη (1-0) σε «must – win» παιχνίδι απέναντι στον Πανσερραϊκό και ανάσανε - εκ νέου - βαθμολογικά στο...κυνήγι της παραμονής στη Super League.

Ο Πανσερραϊκός μπήκε με πιο γερά…πατήματα στο παιχνίδι, χωρίς όμως να απειλεί την εστία των γηπεδούχων οι οποίοι σταδιακά άρχισαν να ισορροπούν το ματς.

Η πρώτη καλή (διπλή) στιγμή καταγράφηκε στο 17΄για την ΑΕΛ. Απευθείας εκτέλεση φάουλ του Σανκάλ, ο Τσομπανίδης απέκρουσε, ο Γκαράτε πήρε το…ριμπάουντ και με κεφαλιά έστειλε την μπάλα άουτ.

Μεγάλη ευκαιρία για τον Πανσερραϊκό να ανοίξει το σκορ στο 39΄. Σουτ του Ριέρα από θέση βολής η μπάλα πέρασε λίγο πάνω από την εστία.

Στο 40΄ο Τσομπανίδης έκανε άστοχη έξοδο, ο Γκαράτε τσίμπησε την μπάλα που κατέληξε ελάχιστα έξω από το δεξί δοκάρι.

Στο τρίτο λεπτό των καθυστερήσεων του α΄ημιχρόνου ο Παντελάκης πήρε την κεφαλιά έπειτα από εκτέλεση κόρνερ, ο Τσομπανίδης έδιωξε με καίρια επέμβαση και κράτησε ανέπαφη την εστία του.

Με γκολ από τα…αποδυτήρια ξεκίνησε το ματς στο β΄ημίχρονο.

Γκολ ο Σαγκάλ

Στο 46΄κεφαλιά του Σαγκάλ έδιωξε ο Τσομπανίδης πάνω στη γραμμή, ο Σαγκάλ έσπρωξε την μπάλα στα δίχτυα αλλά σφυρίχτηκε επιθετικό φάουλ.

Το VAR είχε διαφορετική άποψη και έπειτα από τον επανέλεγχο της φάσης το γκολ μέτρησε κανονικά και έτσι η ΑΕΛ πήρε το προβάδισμα (1-0).

Στο 60΄ δόθηκε πέναλτι για τον Πανσερραϊκό, όταν μετά από εκτέλεση κόρνερ του Κάλινιν, η μπάλα βρήκε στο χέρι του Όλαφσον. Εν τέλει ο διαιτητής πήγε για τον επανέλεγχο της φάσης (έπειτα από κλήση του VAR) και πήρε το πέναλτι πίσω.

Στο 81΄ο Πανσερραϊκός σκόραρε με τον Τεσέιρα ωστόσο το γκολ ακυρώθηκε ως οφσάιντ με το τελικό 1-0 να...κλειδώνει το ματς και να σφραγίζει την επικράτηση των Θεσσαλών.

Δεύτερη σερί νίκη για την ΑΕΛ (έπειτα από το τρίποντο με τον Άρη) που ξεκάθαρα δείχνει βελτιωμένη εικόνα με τον Σάββα Παντελίδη στον πάγκο της, ρίχνει πολύτιμους βαθμούς στο σακούλι κι είναι πάνω από τη ζώνη του υποβιβασμού.

Ο Πανσερραϊκός πάλεψε το ματς στην "AEL FC Arena" ωστόσο δεν κατάφερε να έχει βαθμολογικό όφελος κι έφυγε με άδεια χέρια. 

Ο διαιτητής Γιώργος Κόκκινος (Χαλκιδικής) έδειξε κίτρινη κάρτα στους Κάλινιν, Ριέρα, Σουρλή, Όλαφσον, Ηλιάδη, Γκαράτε, Παντελάκης, Τεσέιρα, Λύρατζη, ενώ στο 95΄αποβλήθηκε (μέσω VAR) ο Μπρουκς.
