The McLaren driver was the fastest in the qualifying for the 19-lap sprint race to be held on Saturday (29/11, 16:00), with a time of 1:20.055 being a track record in Qatar, where the penultimate Grand Prix of the season is taking place.

Russell will start in second place with Mercedes (+0.032), while Norris had the third fastest time (+0.230). Fernando Alonso was fourth and Tsunoda was fifth, with Verstappen having an exit in SQ3 and ultimately settling for the 6th fastest time. Disappointment again for Ferrari, with Leclerc in 9th and Hamilton remaining 18th.

Qualifying began with Hamilton being out of the running from the very first part, which means he will start tomorrow's Sprint from 18th place, while Colapindo, Gasly, Lawson and Stroll were also eliminated early on. Norris was fastest, with Piastri following behind him.

With the completion of SQ2, Hajar, Berman, Bortoletto, Hulkenberg and Ocon were eliminated, while Norris remained the leader, with Piastri and Verstappen being slightly slower.

Verstappen had an exit in SQ3, with Russell taking third place, while Piastri saved the best for last, stealing pole position from his teammate, Piastri, with his excellent lap!

Ο Όσκαρ Πιάστρι ήταν ο ταχύτερος στις κατατακτήριες του Sprint στο Grand Prix της Formula 1 που διεξάγεται στο Κατάρ!

Στον Πιάστρι η pole position για το τελευταίο Sprint της σεζόν στη Formula 1!

Ο πιλότος της McLaren ήταν ο ταχύτερος στις κατατακτήριες για τον αγώνα σπριντ διάρκειας 19 γύρων που θα διεξαχθεί το Σάββατο (29/11, 16:00), με το 1:20.055 να αποτελεί ρεκόρ πίστας στο Κατάρ, όπου πραγματοποιείται το προτελευταίο Grand Prix της σεζόν.

Στη δεύτερη θέση θα εκκινήσει ο Ράσελ με Mercedes (+0.032), ενώ τον τρίτο ταχύτερο χρόνο είχε ο Νόρις (+0.230). Τέταρτος ο Φερνάντο Αλόνσο και πέμπτος ο Τσουνόντα, με τον Φερστάπεν να έχει έξοδο στο SQ3 και τελικά να αρκείται στον 6ο ταχύτερο χρόνο. Απογοήτευση ξανά για τη Ferrari, με τον Λεκλέρ να είναι 9ος και με τον Χάμιλτον να μένει 18ος.

Οι κατατακτήριες ξεκίνησαν με τον Χάμιλτον να μένει εκτός συνέχειας από το πρώτο κιόλας μέρος τους, κάτι που σημαίνει ότι θα εκκινήσει στο αυριανό Sprint από τη 18η θέση, ενώ από νωρίς αποκλείστηκαν επίσης οι Κολαπίντο, Γκασλί, Λόουσον και Στρολ. Ταχύτερος ήταν ο Νόρις, με τον Πιάστρι να ακολουθεί πίσω του.

Με την ολοκλήρωση του SQ2 αποκλείστηκαν οι Χατζάρ, Μπέρμαν, Μπορτολέτο, Χούλκενμπεργκ και Οκόν, ενώ ο Νόρις παρέμεινε πρωτοπόρος, με τους Πιάστρι και Φερστάπεν να είναι ελάχιστα πιο αργοί.

Ο Φερστάπεν είχε έξοδο στο SQ3, με τον Ράσελ να του παίρνει την τρίτη θέση, ενώ στο ο Πιάστρι κρατούσε το καλύτερο για το τέλος, κλέβοντας την pole position από τον ομόσταυλό του, Πιάστρι, με τον εξαιρετικό του γύρο!
