Ο Ζέλικο Ομπράντοβιτς βρέθηκε μπροστά σε πολύ κόσμο στο αεροδρόμιο «Νίκολα Τέσλα», όμως η υποδοχή ενός μικρού κοριτσιού τον έκανε να σπάσει.
Η υποδοχή που επεφύλαξαν στον Ζέλικο Ομπράντοβιτς οι οπαδοί της Παρτίζαν ήταν συγκλονιστική και προκάλεσε μεγάλη αμηχανία στον πολύπειρο τεχνικό. Ο ίδιος δεν θέλησε να φανερώσει τα συναισθήματα του, γι’ αυτό και απέφυγε να σταθεί πολύ ώρα μπροστά στον κόσμο θέλοντας να κρατήσει για τον εαυτό του την τελική απόφαση για το μέλλον του. Χωρίς να επηρεαστεί συναισθηματικά από την παρουσία των φιλάθλων που ζητούσαν με πάθος να μείνει στην ομάδα.
Τόσο εντός, όσο και εκτός του αεροδρομίου υπήρχε πολύς κόσμος και χρειάστηκε να στηθεί ολόκληρη επιχείρηση για να αποχωρήσει από τον χώρο του αεροδρομίου ο «Ζοτς» και να πάρει τις αποφάσεις του μετά την άρνηση του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου της Παρτίζαν να αποδεχθεί την παραίτηση του.
