Greek National Team: The capacity groups and their potential opponents in the Nations League

After being eliminated in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, the Greek National Team is now turning its attention to the 2026 Nations League.
Last season, the "blue and white" had an excellent presence in the institution, finishing second in their group behind England, which they even beat at "Wembley". Furthermore, in March, in the promotion Play Offs, Greece eliminated Scotland in their head-to-head matches, securing promotion to League A, where the most formidable teams in European football are located.
Greece's group
Ivan Jovanovic's team will compete in the 4th capacity group, along with Turkey, Czech Republic and Wales, with the draw scheduled for early 2026. As for the other groups for the Nations League, Spain, Portugal, France and Germany are in the 1st, Italy, Netherlands, Croatia and Denmark in the 2nd, while Serbia, Belgium, England and Norway are in the third.
The final ranking in the Nations League will also determine the formation of the groups for the EURO 2028 qualifiers, regardless of the result, however, the National Team has already secured a place in the 1st or 2nd capacity group for the qualifiers for the European competition.

Μετά τον αποκλεισμό στα προκριματικά του Μουντιάλ του 2026, η Εθνική Ελλάδας στρέφει πλέον την προσοχή της στο Nations League του 2026.
Την περασμένη σεζόν η «γαλανόλευκη» είχε μία εξαιρετική παρουσία στο θεσμό τερματίζοντας δεύτερη στον όμιλό της πίσω από την Αγγλία, την οποία μάλιστα κέρδισε στο «Γουέμπλεϊ». Επιπλέον, τον Μάρτιο, στα Play Offs της ανόδου, η Ελλάδα απέκλεισε τη Σκωτία στις μεταξύ τους αναμετρήσεις εξασφαλίζοντας την άνοδο στη League A, εκεί όπου βρίσκονται οι πιο υπολογίσιμες ομάδες του ευρωπαϊκού ποδοσφαίρου.
Το γκρουπ της Ελλάδας
Το σύνολο του Ιβάν Γιοβάνοβιτς θα αγωνιστεί στο 4ο γκρουπ δυναμικότητας, μαζί με Τουρκία, Τσεχία και Ουαλία, με την κλήρωση να προγραμματίζεται για τις αρχές του 2026. Όσον αφορά στα υπόλοιπα γκρουπ για το Nations League, στο 1ο βρίσκονται Ισπανία, Πορτογαλία, Γαλλία και Γερμανία, στο 2ο Ιταλία, Ολλανδία, Κροατία και Δανία, ενώ στο τρίτο οι Σερβία, Βέλγιο, Αγγλία και Νορβηγία.
Η τελική κατάταξη στο Nations League θα καθορίσει και τη διαμόρφωση των γκρουπ για τα προκριματικά του EURO 2028, ανεξαρτήτως αποτελέσματος, όμως, η Εθνική έχει ήδη εξασφαλίσει μία θέση στο 1ο ή 2ο γκρουπ δυναμικότητας για τα προκριματικά της ευρωπαϊκής διοργάνωσης.
