The Cretan team turned the match against the decimated "Argonauts" into a performance for a role (they played with 9 players in the second half) and with a clear victory (3-0) entered the League Phase of the Greek Cup with the...right.

The game took place - behind closed doors at "Genti Koule", due to a punishment that OFI has been carrying since last season.

With the...good evening, the hosts gained the initiative of the movements, however, it was Kavala that "touched" the goal in the 6th minute with a shot by Katsoulidis that hit the post.

A minute later (7th minute) the guests were left with 10 players due to the dismissal of the goalkeeper (Zografos) who overturned Salcedo outside the area.

OFI, playing with a player more, was constantly on the attack and connected with the net in the 21st minute with a nice individual effort by Thiago Nous who entered the Kavala goal with the ball.

The Cretan team flirted with the second goal in the 26th minute, but Ioannidis beat Sengelia.

In the 28th minute, Neira shot from a wide position, the ball rebounded, hit the post and ended up as a corner.

A new opportunity for OFI in the 34th minute with Nous passing the ball over the goalkeeper, Salcedo placing the ball and the Kavala defenders chasing him down the line.

In the 38th minute, Borja attempted an impressive goal with the ball hitting the post after Ioannidis saved it.

Second goal for OFI in the 43rd minute. Sengelia found space from the right and with a place sent the ball into the net (2-0).

Kavala lined up with nine players for the second half. The guests had three breaks in the first 45 minutes, Aliatidis could not continue and there was no right to another substitution.

The game was purely procedural in nature with OFI continuing the "dance" of goals with a shot by Neira in the 57th minute (3-0) and missing several opportunities with Nous, Theodosoulakis, Salcedo and for other goals until the end of the match with the highlight being Salcedo's missed penalty in the 77th minute which was blocked by Ioannidis.

Referee Tzilos showed a yellow card to Gavriilidis, Neira.

Σε παράσταση για ένα ρόλο μετέτρεψε η κρητική ομάδα την αναμέτρηση κόντρα στους αποδεκατισμένους «Αργοναύτες» (έπαιξαν με 9 παίκτες στο β΄ημίχρονο) και με σβηστή νίκη (3-0) μπήκε με το…δεξί στη League Phase του Κυπέλλου Ελλάδας.

Το παιχνίδι έλαβε χώρα -κεκλεισμένων των θυρών στο «Γεντί Κουλέ», λόγω τιμωρίας που….κουβαλάει ο ΟΦΗ από την περασμένη σεζόν.

Με το…καλησπέρα οι γηπεδούχοι απέκτησαν την πρωτοβουλία των κινήσεων, ωστόσο η Καβάλα ήταν αυτή που «άγγιξε» το γκολ στο 6΄ με σουτ του Κατσουλίδη που βρήκε το δοκάρι.

Ένα λεπτό αργότερα (7΄) οι φιλοξενούμενοι έμειναν με 10 παίκτες λόγω αποβολής του τερματοφύλακα (Ζωγράφος) που ανέτρεψε τον Σαλσέδο εκτός περιοχής.

Ο ΟΦΗ αγωνιζόμενος και με παίκτη παραπάνω ήταν μόνιμα στην επίθεση και συνδέθηκε με τα δίχτυα στο 21΄με ωραία ατομική προσπάθεια του Τιάγκο Νους που μπήκε με την μπάλα μέσα στην εστία της Καβάλας.

Η κρητική ομάδα φλέρταρε» με το δεύτερο γκολ στο 26΄, αλλά ο Ιωαννίδης νίκησε τον Σενγκέλια.

Στο 28΄ο Νέιρα σούταρε από πλάγια θέση, η μπάλα κόντραρε, βρήκε το δοκάρι και κατέληξε κόρνερ.

Νέα ευκαιρία για τον ΟΦΗ στο 34΄με τον Νους να περνάει τη μπάλα πάνω από τον τερματοφύλακα, ο Σαλσέδο να πλασάρει και τους αμυντικούς της Καβάλας να διώχνουν πάνω στη γραμμή.

Στο 38΄ Μπόρχα επιχείρησε να βάλει εντυπωσιακό γκολ με την μπάλα να βρίσκει το δοκάρι έπειτα από την απόκρουση του Ιωαννίδη.

Δεύτερο γκολ για τον ΟΦΗ στο 43΄. Ο Σενγκέλια βρήκε χώρο από δεξιά και με πλασέ έστειλε την μπάλα στα δίχτυα (2-0).

Με εννέα παίκτες παρατάχθηκε η Καβάλα για το β΄ημίχρονο.  Οι φιλοξενούμενοι έκαναν τρεις διακοπές στο πρώτο 45λεπτο, ο Αλιατίδης δεν μπορούσε να συνεχίσει και δεν υπήρχε δικαίωμα άλλης αλλαγής.

Το παιχνίδι είχε καθαρά διαδικαστικό χαρακτήρα με τον ΟΦΗ να συνεχίζει το «χορό» των γκολ με σουτ του Νέιρα στο 57΄ (3-0) και να χάνει αρκετές ευκαιρίες με Νους, Θεοδοσουλάκη, Σαλσέδο και για άλλα γκολ μέχρι τη λήξη του ματς με αποκορύφωμα το χαμένο πέναλτι του Σαλσέδο στο 77΄που μπλόκαρε ο Ιωαννίδης. 

Ο διαιτητής Τζήλος έδειξε κίτρινη κάρτα στους Γαβριηλίδη, Νέιρα.
