"We wanted to present ourselves competitive against a team that is claiming the championship and was recently champion. We are in a reconstruction phase for our season in the Second National League (SL2). We tried in our own way not to be passive in a celebration game for the team. We had 11 years to play with a team like AEK and a total of 16 years to give a corresponding game at Super League 1 level. That's why we wanted to enter the League Phase of the Cup, so that the kids could get experiences and performances with teams like AEK, Aris and Volos. Ο άμεσος συνεργάτης του τιμωρημένου Απόστολου Χαραλαμπίδη έκανε το δικό του σχόλιο μετά την ήττα του ανταγωνιστικού «Σίτι» για την πρεμιέρα της League Phase στο Κύπελλο Ελλάδας Betsson.

Αναλυτικά, τα όσα δήλωσε ο Σταύρος Μπαϊράμης στην κάμερα της COSMOTE TV μετά το Αιγάλεω - ΑΕΚ 0-1 στο «Στ. Μαυροθαλασσίτης»:

«Θέλαμε να παρουσιαστούμε ανταγωνιστικοί κόντρα σε μια ομάδα που διεκδικεί πρωτάθλημα και ήταν πρόσφατα πρωταθλήτρια. Είμαστε σε φάση αναδόμησης για τη σεζόν μας στη Β' Εθνική (SL2). Προσπαθήσαμε με τον τρόπο μας να μην είμαστε παθητικοί σε ένα παιχνίδι γιορτή για την ομάδα. Είχαμε 11 χρόνια να παίξουμε με μια ομάδα, όπως η ΑΕΚ και συνολικά 16 χρόνια να δώσουμε ένα αντίστοιχο παιχνίδι επιπέδου Super League 1. Για αυτό θέλαμε να μπούμε στο στη League Phase του Κυπέλλου, ώστε τα παιδιά να πάρουν εμπειρίες και παραστάσεις με ομάδες, όπως η ΑΕΚ, ο Άρης και ο Βόλος. Να μετρήσουμε τις δυνάμεις μας σε επίπεδο Super League 1».
