Mirandes took the lead in the 16th minute in their first good moment of the game against Panicelli, after a very nice pass from Iker Benito. However, the home team was awarded a penalty in the 38th minute for a handball by Reina via VAR and Santi Cazorla, who took the shot, sent the ball into the net, setting Carlos Tartiere on fire.

The home team brought the match into balance, making it 2-1 in the 52nd minute through Chiara. The visitors had most of the scoring opportunities (and possession) from then on, but the longest period of the match before the end of normal time belonged to the home team, with Alemao sending the ball just wide in the 85th minute.

Mirandes continued to have the initiative of the movements in extra time, but Oviedo scored a golden goal with Portillo in the 103rd minute, which was enough to give them a ticket to La Liga, joining Levante and Elche who were promoted from the regular season.

In the finale of the match, there was widespread tension between the players of the two teams with the referee sending off one from each team, while from Mirandes' side, Postigo, who was on the bench, was sent off with a red card earlier in the 74th minute.

It should be noted that the match was closely watched by Panathinaikos AKTOR forward Juancho Hernangomez.

Ρεάλ Οβιέδο και Μιραντές δεν έλυσαν τις διαφορές τους στην κανονική διάρκεια, καθώς οι γηπεδούχοι επικράτησαν 2-1 με ανατροπή, αλλά ισοφάρισαν το σκορ του πρώτου αγώνα στο οποίο η Μιραντές είχε νικήσει με 1-0. Έτσι οι δύο ομάδες οδηγήθηκαν στην παράταση και εκεί οι γηπεδούχοι πέτυχαν και τρίτο γκολ με αποτέλεσμα να πάρουν τη νίκη (3-1) και ένα εισιτήριο για τη La Liga της νέας χρονιάς.

Η Μιραντές προηγήθηκε στο 16ο λεπτό στην πρώτη της καλή στιγμή στο παιχνίδι με τον Πανιτσέλι, μετά από πολύ ωραίο γέμισμα του Ίκερ Μπενίτο. Ωστόσο οι γηπεδούχοι κέρδισαν πέναλτι στο 38′ για χέρι του Ρέινα μέσω VAR και ο Σάντι Καθόρλα, που ανέλαβε την εκτέλεση, έστειλε την μπάλα στα δίχτυα, βάζοντας φωτιά στο Κάρλος Ταρτιέρε.

Οι γηπεδούχοι έφεραν σε ισορροπία τη μονομαχία, κάνοντας το 2-1 στο 52ο λεπτό με τον Κιάρα. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι έκτοτε είχαν τις περισσότερες φάσεις για να σκοράρουν (και την κατοχή), αλλά η μεγαλύτερη φάση του αγώνα πριν από την εκπνοή της κανονικής διάρκειας ήταν για τους γηπεδούχους με τον Αλεμάο να στέλνει την μπάλα ελάχιστα άουτ στο 85′.

Η Μιράντες συνέχισε να έχει την πρωτοβουλία των κινήσεων και στην παράταση, όμως η Οβιέδο πέτυχε χρυσό γκολ με τον Πορτίγιο στο 103′ που ήταν αρκετό για να της δώσει το εισιτήριο για τη La Liga, συνοδεύοντας τις Λεβάντε και Έλτσε που προβιβάστηκαν από την κανονική διάρκεια.

Στο φινάλε του ματς υπήρξε εκτεταμένη ένταση ανάμεσα στους ποδοσφαιριστές των δύο ομάδες με τον διαιτητή να αποβάλλει έναν από κάθε ομάδα, ενώ από πλευράς Μιραντές ο Ποστίγκο που ήταν στον πάγκο αποβλήθηκε με κόκκινη νωρίτερα στο 74′.

Να σημειωθεί ότι τον αγώνα παρακολουθήσε από κοντά ο φόργουορντ του Παναθηναϊκού AKTOR, Χουάντσο Ερνανγκόμεθ.
