Μίτσιτς: “Εστιάζω στο NBA, θα δούμε τι θα γίνει το καλοκαίρι”

Micic: “I’m focused on the NBA, we’ll see what happens in the summer”

Vasilie Micic said that despite what is being said, he is focused on his efforts to stay in the NBA, but he is leaving all scenarios open for the summer, when he will be a free agent.

The issue of Vasilije Micic’s return to Europe – even in the middle of the season – has been discussed since he went to the NBA, in the summer of 2023. Many teams were waiting for him and are waiting for him with open arms. However, he clarified in his statements to “Mundo Deportivo” that for now, all he cares about is finding a role with the Suns and he will think about his future in the summer, when he is expected to be a free agent.

The Serbian guard has changed three teams in 1.5 years (Thunder, Hornets and Suns) and has not yet stepped on the court with a Phoenix jersey, which makes things difficult, however, he stressed that “I don’t feel pressure that my contract expires in the summer. Anything could happen and I will see what the best situation is for me at that moment”.

Closing his interview, in fact, Micic asked if he is thinking about returning to Europe and if Barcelona would be one of his options, leaving everything open: “Of course I think about every team. There are some teams in Europe that I love, that’s obvious, but right now I’m focused on the Suns, on what I have here and I’m happy to try to close the season strong. We’ll see what happens in the summer”.

Ο Βασίλιε Μίτσιτς δήλωσε ότι παρά τα όσα ακούγονται εστιάζει στην προσπάθειά του να μείνει στο NBA, αφήνοντας ωστόσο όλα τα σενάρια ανοιχτά για το καλοκαίρι, που θα είναι free agent.

Το θέμα της επιστροφής του Βασίλιε Μίτσιτς στην Ευρώπη – ακόμα και μεσούσης της σεζόν – συζητιέται από τότε που πήγε στο NBA, το καλοκαίρι του 2023. Πολλές ομάδες τον περίμεναν και τον περιμένουν με ανοιχτές αγκάλες. Ο ίδιος ωστόσο ξεκαθάρισε με δηλώσεις του στην “Mundo Deportivo” πως προς το παρόν το μόνο που τον νοιάζει είναι να βρει έναν ρόλο στους Σανς και θα σκεφτεί το μέλλον του το καλοκαίρι, όταν αναμένεται να είναι free agent.

Ο Σέρβος γκαρντ έχει αλλάξει τρεις ομάδες σε 1.5 χρόνο (Θάντερ, Χόρνετς και Σανς) και δεν έχει πατήσει ακόμα παρκέ με την φανέλα του Φοίνιξ, κάτι που κάνει δύσκολα τα πράγματα, ωστόσο τόνισε ότι “δεν αισθάνομαι πίεση που λήγει το συμβόλαιό μου το καλοκαίρι. Όλα θα μπορούσαν να συμβούν και θα δω ποια θα είναι η καλύτερη κατάσταση για εμένα εκείνη την στιγμή”. 

Κλείνοντας την συνέντευξή του, μάλιστα, ο Μίτσιτς ρώτησε για το αν κάνει σκέψεις επιστροφής στην Ευρώπη και αν η Μπαρτσελόνα θα ήταν μία από τις επιλογές του, αφήνοντας τα πάντα ανοιχτά: “Φυσικά σκέφτομαι κάθε ομάδα. Υπάρχουν μερικές ομάδες στην Ευρώπη που αγαπάω, αυτό είναι προφανές, αλλά αυτή τη στιγμή εστιάζω στους Σανς, στο τι έχω εδώ και είμαι χαρούμενος που θα προσπαθήσω να κλείσω την σεζόν δυνατά. Θα δούμε τι θα γίνει το καλοκαίρι”.
