Reddick is a candidate to take over the Lakers as head coach!
JJ Reddick is said to be the favorite to take over the Los Angeles Lakers as the first coach, according to the authoritative American journalist, Sams Harania.
The big surprise in the head coaching position is the Los Angeles Lakers, with JJ Reddick the favorite to take over. The 39-year-old has never coached a professional team, with his closest experience being in charge of some 'Next Generation' teams in some tournaments.
According to arguably the NBA's best-known reporter, Sams Harania, Reddick is the early favorite to take over the Lakers, with his name higher on the list than the far more experienced James Borrego, who was an assistant coach of the Suns, Pelicans, and Orlando Magic but also head coach of the Hornets for four seasons (18/19 to 21/22).
Redick, known for his shooting ability, of course had a long career in the NBA playing from 2006 to 2021, having played in 940 games. Since his retirement, we meet him as an analyst on ESPN and also on his own podcast that he has in collaboration with his good friend, LeBron James, which of course has basketball and the NBA theme called "Mind the game".
This isn't the first time Reddick's name has been floated for an NBA head coaching job as he recently had an interview with Michael Jordan's Hornets to replace Steve Clifford, which never materialized.

Τη μεγάλη έκπληξη όσον αφορά τη θέση του πρώτου προπονητή είναι έτοιμοι να κάνουν οι Λος Άντζελες Λέικερς, με τον Τζέι Τζέι Ρέντικ να είναι το φαβορί για να αναλάβει. Ο 39χρονός δεν έχει προπονήσει ποτέ επαγγελματική ομάδα, με τη πιο κοντινή του εμπειρία να είναι να αναλάβει κάποιες ομάδες του «Next Generation» σε κάποια τουρνουά.

Ο Ρέντικ, γνωστός για την ικανότητα του να σουτάρει, φυσικά είχε μία μεγάλη καριέρα στο NBA παίζοντας από το 2006 μέχρι και το 2021, έχοντας αγωνιστεί σε 940 παιχνίδια. Από την απόσυρση του και μετά, τον συναντάμε σαν αναλυτή στο ESPN αλλά και στο δικό του podcast που έχει σε συνεργασία με τον καλό του φίλο, Λεμπρόν Τζέιμς, που φυσικά έχει θεματολογία το μπάσκετ και το ΝΒΑ με τίτλο «Mind the game».
Δεν είναι η πρώτη φορά που το όνομα του Ρέντικ έχει ακουστεί για τη θέση του head coach σε ομάδα του ΝΒΑ αφού πρόσφατα είχε μια συνέντευξη με τους Χόρνετς του Μάικλ Τζόρνταν για να αντικαταστήσει τον Στιβ Κλίφορντ, κάτι που όμως δεν έγινε ποτέ.
