Lingard traveled to South Korea to sign for FC Seoul
Jesse Lingard is one breath away from leaving European football and pursuing his career in Asia, with the England midfielder traveling to South Korea to sign a contract with FC Seoul.
Jesse Lingard has been a notable presence on English pitches for a decade now, but now he is counting down not just to say goodbye to the Island but also to the entire Old Continent.
This will be done for the sake of... FC Seoul, with the South Korean side offering him a two-year contract with not inconsiderable wages and convincing him, with the 31-year-old England midfielder taking the plane and landing on Monday (0/ 02) in Seoul.

There he was greeted by several fans of the team to give him the first warm welcome, with the English media reporting that he is scheduled to undergo medical tests on Tuesday (06/02) and that if everything goes smoothly, then he will sign the his new contract.

It is recalled that the player had been left without a team since the finale of last season when he left Nottingham, while he had not been able to find a deal with either West Ham or Al Etifaq, teams with whom he had done some training in recent times .

Αυτό θα γίνει για χάρη της... FC Seoul, με την ομάδα της Νότιας Κορέας να του προσφέρει διετές συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας με διόλου ευκαταφρόνητες αποδοχές και να τον πείθει, με τον 31χρονο Άγγλο μεσοεπιθετικό να παίρνει το αεροπλάνο και να προσγειώνεται την Δευτέρα (0/02) στην Σεούλ.

Εκεί τον υποδέχτηκαν αρκετοί φίλαθλοι της ομάδας για να του δώσουν το πρώτο ζεστό καλωσόρισμα, με τα αγγλικά ΜΜΕ να αναφέρουν πως είναι προγραμματισμένο να περάσει από ιατρικές εξετάσεις την Τρίτη (06/02) και πως σε περίπτωση που όλα κυλήσουν ομαλά, τότε θα υπογράψει το νέο του συμβόλαιο.

Υπενθυμίζεται πως ο παίκτης είχε μείνει χωρίς ομάδα από το φινάλε της περασμένης σεζόν οπότε και έφυγε από την Νότιγχαμ, ενώ δεν είχε καταφέρει να τα βρει είτε με την Γουέστ Χαμ είτε με την Αλ Ετιφάκ, ομάδες με τις οποίες είχε κάνει κάποιες προπονήσεις το τελευταίο διάστημα.
