AEK - OFI 3-0

Ezequiel Ponce has stepped into Levi Garcia's shoes for good and with two goals against OFI (3-0) sent AEK to the top waiting for PAOK-PAO. The 3rd goal by Van Weert.

The request for AEK was clear. The Union wanted a victory even with half a goal to watch the Toumba derby between PAOK and Panathinaikos in peace and at the end of the day to see where they will be in the standings. And in the end he did it, defeated OFI 3-0, passed the top and is now waiting to see what will happen in Toumba.

The Union in the midst of many problems, given the new absence of Szymanski, had a surprise in the lineup. And she heard the name of Radonia. The young ace took a position on the right side of the defense given that Sidibe had only two training sessions at full speed, as a result of which Almeida preferred him.

Beyond that, there was nothing else worth mentioning. Stankovic remained short of the goalposts. Vida, Cullens and Pelios were the other three on defense. Jonsson in Simanski's absence was the "six", Pineda played ten with Amrbat, Gacinovic on the wings and Zuber, Ponce in front.

Lead with Ponce, absolute supremacy of AEK

AEK controlled the tempo of the match and had the first suspicion of an opportunity in the 5th minute with Pelios, after a cross from Amrabad, being in a good position, but not having time to execute.

In the first minutes of the match, AEK exuded energy and tension against an OFI who could not keep the ball. In the 9th minute, Ponce took a nice shot into the OFI area, but was unable to execute. Almeida's trick with Radonia moving on several occasions in the axis helped AEK to control the match and not allow the Cretans to create threatening conditions in transition.

And in the 15th minute, OFI's first moment came. From Gacinovic's error, the Cretans counter-attacked, Felipe getting into a position on the inside left of the area, but Cullens headed the ball away for a corner with a fine tackle.

AEK was looking for the quick 1-0 and in the 21st minute they got it. It was the phase that started from the feet of Amrabad, Ponce jumped on the spot, took the header with Sotiriou driving away with overpowering in the corner. In fact it was the first very big phase for the Union which was constantly in the spotlight.

The 0-0 remained with OFI essentially limited to its own third with AEK rightfully taking the lead in the 28th minute with the "hot" Eki Ponce. The Argentinian took advantage of Zuber's "take-and-take" assist and made it 1-0 for AEK with a left-footed shot with the Cretans shouting for a foul at the start of the phase from Pelios to Felipe. VAR, Fotias checked it, agreed with Papapetrou and the goal counted as normal, with Ponce reaching his 6th goal of the season scoring for the 4th time in the last 118 minutes of competition.

The Union was emitting tremendous energy, mood and intensity with the Almeida players not taking their foot off the gas reaching the eight corners only in the 38th minute to follow in the 40th minute another opportunity with Gacinovic. The Serb made a nice individual effort, he shot, the ball went against Bressan with Soriatiou making a difficult intervention by clearing for a corner that brought new suspicion at the right time with a shot by "Gatsi" that went wide.

1-0 was the half-time score with AEK of the 8 finals, 3 of which at home, being unfairly wronged by the score.

OFI was aggressive, "cleaned up" by Ponce

OFI entered the match with a different orientation. He tried to surprise AEK and it was obvious that he had come in more aggressively pressing high and willing to keep the ball, circulate it and create the conditions to threaten.

And in the 54th minute, the Cretans came within a breath of 1-1. Thorarinsson turned the ball well, Felipe made the display with Stankovic clearing with the fallen Vida slicing the ball into the corner before the Brazilian took the rebound to score a second time.

AEK was trying to find itself and in the 61st minute they had one more good chance with Gacinovic who shot hard with Sotiriou clearing for a corner.

Given AEK's 1-0, but also the image of OFI in the stadium, Pepe Mel decided in the 66th minute to take a risk. He put a second center forward, namely Diko instead of Baku, clearly showing the aggressive mood of the Cretans in the match.

And against the flow of the match, Ponce came in the 68th minute to make it 2-0. The Argentinian striker took advantage of Stankovic's mark chase and with a double effort, after the first one was blocked by Sotiriou, he gave Union a two-goal lead. A goal, which in essence cut... the legs of the Cretans to a point where OFI was getting discouraged.

In essence, the match ended after 70' with OFI wanting to react, but not being able to manage the score with AEK, who made 4 changes. And all this until 85', when Diko threatened with Stankovic telling him no keeping the 2-0.

And since there was no reduction in the score, the 3rd goal came in stoppage time, not from the penalty spot, but in a set play with Van Weert who took advantage of Lambropoulos' mistake. And we say penalty, because a little earlier Papapetrou had shown a penalty for marking on Eliasson, which he took back with the intervention of VAR.

Ο Εζεκίελ Πόνσε έχει μπει για τα καλά στα... παπούτσια του Λιβάι Γκαρσία και με δύο γκολ επί του ΟΦΗ (3-0) έστειλε την ΑΕΚ στην κορυφή να περιμένει το ΠΑΟΚ-ΠΑΟ. Το 3ο γκολ ο Φαν Βέερτ.

Το ζητούμενο για την ΑΕΚ ήταν ξεκάθαρο. Η Ένωση ήθελε νίκη ακόμη και με μισό μηδέν για να δει με ηρεμία το ντέρμπι της Τούμπας ανάμεσα στον ΠΑΟΚ και τον Παναθηναϊκό και στο τέλος της ημέρας να δει πού θα βρίσκεται στην βαθμολογία. Και εν τέλει το έκανε, νίκησε με 3-0 τον ΟΦΗ, πέρασε κορυφή και πλέον περιμένει να δει τι θα γίνει στην Τούμπα.

Η Ένωση εν μέσω πολλών προβλημάτων, με δεδομένη και την νέα απουσία του Σιμάνσκι, είχε έκπληξη στην ενδεκάδα. Και αυτή άκουγε στο όνομα του Ραντόνια. Ο νεαρός άσος πήρε θέση στη δεξιά πλευρά της άμυνας με δεδομένο πως ο Σιντιμπέ είχε μόλις δύο προπονήσεις σε φουλ ρυθμούς με αποτέλεσμα ο Αλμέιδα να τον προτιμήσει.

Από εκεί και πέρα, δεν υπήρξε κάτι άλλο άξιο αναφοράς. Ο Στάνκοβιτς παρέμεινε κάρτω από τα γκολπόστ. Οι Βίντα, Κάλενς και Πήλιος ήταν οι υπόλοιποι τρεις στην άμυνα. Ο Γιόνσον εν απουσία Σιμάνσκι ήταν το «εξάρι», ο Πινέδα έπαιζε δεκάρι με τους Άμραμπατ, Γκατσίνοβιτς να είναι στις πτέρυγες και μπροστά οι Τσούμπερ, Πόνσε.

Από την άλλη Για τον ΟΦΗ ο Πέπε Μελ επέλεξε τον Σωτηρίου στην εστία, τους Θοράρινσον, Μπρεσάν, Λαμπρόπουλο και Λάρσον τετράδα στην άμυνα, τους Γκαγέγος και Γκλάζερ στον άξονα της μεσαίας γραμμής με τον Μπάκιτς μπροστά τους, τους Αμπάντα και Μπάκου στα δύο άκρα της επίθεσης και τον Φελίπε στην κορυφή.

Προβάδισμα με Πόνσε, απόλυτη η υπεροχή της ΑΕΚ

Η ΑΕΚ έλεγχε τον ρυθμό του ματς και είχε την πρώτη υποψία ευκαιρίας στο 5' με τον Πήλιο, έπειτα από σέντρα του Άμραμπατ, να βρίσκεται σε καλή θεση, αλλά να μην προλαβαίνει να εκτελέσει. 

Στα πρώτα λεπτά της αναμέτρησης η ΑΕΚ έβγαζε ενέργεια και ένταση απέναντι σε έναν ΟΦΗ που δεν μπορούσε να κρατήσει μπάλα. Στο 9' ο Πόνσε κατέβασε ωραία στην περιοχή του ΟΦΗ, χωρίς ωστόσο να μπορέσει να εκτελέσει. Το τρικ του Αλμέιδα με τον Ραντόνια να κινείται σε αρκετές περιπτώσεις στον άξονα βοηθούσε την ΑΕΚ να ελέγχει το ματς και να μην επιτρέψει στους Κρητικούς να δημιουργήσουν προϋποθέσεις απειλής στο τρανζίσιον.

Και στο 15' ήρθε η πρώτη στιγμή του ΟΦΗ. Από το λάθος του Γκατσίνοβιτς, οι Κρητικοί έτρεξαν αντεπίθεση, ο Φελίπε βγήκε σε θέση μέσα αριστερά στην περιοχή, αλλά ο Κάλενς έδιωξε καταλυτικά σε κόρνερ με ωραίο τάκλιν.

Η ΑΕΚ έψαχνε το γρήγορο 1-0 και στο 21' το άγγιξε. Ήταν η φάση που ξεκίνησε από τα πόδια του Άμραμπατ, ο Πόνσε έκανε επιτόπιο άλμα, πήρε την κεφαλιά με τον Σωτηρίου να διώχνει με υπερένταση σε κόρνερ. Επί της ουσίας επρόκειτο για την πρώτη πολύ μεγάλη φάση για την Ένωση που ήταν συνεχώς στο προσκήνιο.

Το 0-0 παρέμενε με τον ΟΦΗ επί της ουσίας να έχει περιοριστεί στο δικό του τρίτο με την ΑΕΚ να παίρνει δικαίως βάσει εικόνας ματς το προβάδισμα στο 28' με τον «καυτό», Έκι Πόνσε. Ο Αργεντινός εκμεταλλεύτηκε την ασίστ «πάρε-βάλε» του Τσούμπερ και με αριστερό πλασέ έκανε το 1-0 για την ΑΕΚ με τους Κρητικούς να φωνάζουν για φάουλ στην έναρξη της φάσης από τον Πήλιο στον Φελίπε. O VAR, Φωτιάς την τσέκαρε, συμφώνησε με τον Παπαπέτρου και το γκολ μέτρησε κανονικά, με τον Πόνσε να φθάνει το 6ο γκολ στη σεζόν σκοράροντας για 4η φορά μέσα στα 118 τελευταία αγωνιστικά λεπτά. 

Η Ένωση έβγαζε τρομερή ενέργεια, διάθεση και ένταση με τους παίκτες του Αλμέιδα να μην σηκώνουν το πόδι από το γκάζι φθάνοντας τα οκτώ κόρνερ μόλις στο 38' για να ακολουθήσει στο 40' νέα ευκαιρία με τον Γκατσίνοβιτς. Ο Σέρβος έκανε ωραία ατομική ενέργεια, σούταρε, η μπάλα κόντραρε στον Μπρεσάν με τον Σωρητίου να κάνει δύσκοη επέμβαση διώχνοντας σε κόρνερ που έφερε νέα υποψία ευκαιρίς με σουτ του «Γκάτσι» που πέρασε άουτ.

Το 1-0 ήταν το σκορ του ημιχρόνου με την ΑΕΚ των 8 τελικών εκ των οποίων οι 3 στην εστία να αδικείται επί της ουσίας από το σκορ.

Επιθετικά ο ΟΦΗ, «καθάρισε» ο Πόνσε

Ο ΟΦΗ μπήκε με διαφορετικό προσανατολισμό στο ματς. Προσπάθησε να αιφνιδιάσει την ΑΕΚ και ήταν εμφανές πως είχε μπει πιο επιθετικά πρεσάροντας ψηλά και με διάθεση να κρατήσει μπάλα, να την κυκλοφορήσει και να δημιουργήσει τις προϋποθέσεις για να απειλήσει. 

Και στο 54' οι Κρητικοί έφθασαν μία ανάσα από το 1-1. Ο Θοράρινσον γύρισε ωραία την μπάλα, ο Φελίπε έκανε την προβολή με τον Στάνκοβιτς να διώχνει με τον πεσμένο Βίντα να τσιμπά την μπάλα σε κόρνερ πριν ο Βραζιλιάνος πάρει το ριμπάουντ για να εκτελέσει δεύτερη φορά.

Η ΑΕΚ προσπαθούσε να βρει τον εαυτό της και στο 61' είχε ακόμη μία καλή ευκαιρία με τον Γκατσίνοβιτς που σούταρε δυνατά με τον Σωτηρίου να διώχνει σε κόρνερ. 

Με δεδομένο το 1-0 της ΑΕΚ, αλλά και την εικόνα του ΟΦΗ μέσα στο γήπεδο, ο Πέπε Μελ αποφάσισε στο 66' να ρισκάρει. Έβαλε δεύτερο σέντερ φορ και δη τον Ντίκο αντί του Μπάκου δείχνοντας εμφανώς την επιθετική διάθεση των Κρητικών στο ματς. 

Και κόντρα στη ροή του ματς ήρθε ο Πόνσε στο 68' να κάνει το 2-0. Ο Αργεντινός στράικερ εκμεταλλεύτηκε το διώξιμο με σημάδι του Στάνκοβιτς και με διπλή προσπάθεια, αφού η πρώτη αποκρούστηκε από τον Σωτηρίου, έδωσε... αέρα δύο τερμάτων στην Ένωση. Ένα γκολ, το οποίο επί της ουσίας έκοβε... τα πόδια των Κρητικών σε σημείο, όπου ο ΟΦΗ ξεθάρρευε.

Επί της ουσίας το ματς μετά το 70' έσβησε με τον ΟΦΗ να έχει όρεξη να αντιδράσει, αλλά να μην μπορεί και την ΑΕΚ των 4 αλλαγών να διαχειρίζεται το σκορ. Και όλα αυτά μέχρι το 85', όταν ο Ντίκο απείλησε με τον Στάνκοβιτς να του λέει όχι διατηρώντας το 2-0. 

Και αφού εκεί δεν μείωσε στο σκορ, ήρθε στις καθυστερήσεις το 3ο γκολ όχι από το σημείο του πέναλτι, αλλά σε σετ παιχνίδι με τον Φαν Βέερτ που εκμεταλλεύτηκε το λάθος του Λαμπρόπουλου. Και λέμε πέναλτι, διότι λίγο νωρίτερα ο Παπαπέτρου είχε δείξει πέναλτι σε μαρκάρισμα πάνω στον Ελίασον, το οποίο πήρε πίσω με παρέμβαση του VAR.
