Honda and six-time Moto GP world champion Marc Marquez are officially parting ways.
As announced by the Japanese company, the 30-year-old Spanish rider will leave the team at the end of the current season, a year before the end of the four-year contract he had signed in 2020, and Honda has already found his replacement in the face of the 26-year-old Italian, Luca Marini , who signed a two-year cooperation contract.
Marini was eighth with Ducati in the championship that concluded yesterday, finishing on the podium twice (a second and a third). Marcheth, who has been plagued by injuries again this year, was 14th with a best finish of third place.

Όπως ανακοίνωσε η ιαπωνική εταιρεία, ο 30χρονος Ισπανός αναβάτης θα αποχωρήσει από την ομάδα στο τέλος της τρέχουσας σεζόν, ένα χρόνο πριν τη λήξη του τετραετούς συμβολαίου που είχε υπογράψει το 2020 και ήδη η Honda βρήκε τον αντικαταστάτη του στο πρόσωπο του 26χρονου Ιταλού, Λούκα Μαρίνι, ο οποίος υπέγραψε διετές συμβόλαιο συνεργασίας.
