Nottingham with an eye on... Qatar!
Demand for a ticket at the City Ground is huge, and Nottingham's management are considering recycled shipping containers as a temporary solution, as the Qataris did at the World Cup.
Nottingham has plans ready to redevelop the City Ground and increase its capacity from 30,445 seats to 35,000, but the high demand for a ticket is forcing management to find immediate solutions. As The Athletic can reveal, Forest have drawn up provisional plans to build a stand built from recycled shipping containers and based on the '974' Stadium used in Qatar during the World Cup.
As highlighted, Nottingham could have made available up to 50,000 tickets for some of the most attractive games since returning to the Premier League. Plans are at an early stage and no decision has been finalized as to when implementation of the plan will begin. However, with no planning permission required, it could start before Christmas.
The biggest attendance at the City Ground since Nottingham's return to the Premier League came against Arsenal last season when 29,514 fans attended the great away win.

Η Νότιγχαμ έχει έτοιμα τα πλάνα για την ανακατασκευή του «City Ground» και την αύξηση της χωρητικότητας του από 30.445 θέσεις σε 35.000, ωστόσο η μεγάλη ζήτηση για ένα εισιτήριο αναγκάζει τη διοίκηση να βρει άμεσες λύσεις. Οπως αποκαλύπτει το Athletic, η Φόρεστ έχει εκπονήσει προσωρινά σχέδια για την ανέγερση εξέδρας που θα κατασκευαστεί σε ανακυκλωμένα εμπορευματοκιβώτια και θα βασίζεται στο Στάδιο «974» που χρησιμοποιήθηκε στο Κατάρ κατά τη διάρκεια του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου.
Οπως τονίζεται, η Νότιγχαμ θα μπορούσε να είχε διαθέσει μέχρι και 50.000 εισιτήρια για μερικά από τα πιο ελκυστικά παιχνίδια από τότε που επέστρεψε στην Premier League. Τα σχέδια είναι σε πρώιμο στάδιο και δεν έχει οριστικοποιηθεί κάποια απόφαση για το πότε θα ξεκινήσει η υλοποίηση του πλάνου. Ωστόσο, χωρίς να απαιτείται πολεοδομική άδεια, θα μπορούσε να αρχίσει πριν από τα Χριστούγεννα.
