AEK: The three scenarios for the draw of the Play-offs of the Superleague championship

AEK brought back with a letter to the organizer the issue of the Superleague draw, which were the three scenarios that emerged.

In today's Superleague Board of Directors, the subject of the discussion regarding the draw of the Superleague Play-offs, regarding how to ensure the integrity of the process to the absolute extent, returned. The CEO and First Vice President of AEK, Giorgos Kosmas reported on this matter to the Board of Directors:

"The main axes of our proposal are two, always within the framework of the effort for transparency and reliability so that there are no suspicions, as happened in the draw of the playoffs of the championship that was completed. One solution is to hold the draw immediately after that of the regular season of the championship, with numbers that will correspond to the position each team will occupy in the regular season, i.e. for the playoffs from 1 to 6 and for the playouts from 7 to 14. If this cannot be carried out technically, due to the keys that will be needed if security or locality issues arise when the ranking is formed, such as for example PAOK and Aris coincide, the second solution is to make the draw after the end of the regular season, but manually as in the international competitions, with balls that will be pulled by the representatives of the teams, so that this travesty that we experienced in last year's playoffs will not be repeated. And in this process there can be key figures. I don't think anyone would object to putting in place safeguards to ensure reliability and transparency and to eliminate suspicion and strange scenarios."

In fact, when Kostas Karapapas said to Mr. Kosmas "let's leave it for a later time, don't you mind us discussing scenarios and key numbers at the end of June?" he replied: "AEK didn't feel sorry that they almost made us play ten consecutive matches away from home"!

In the end, the decision made by the relevant department of the league was to draw up a plan of possible implementation for three scenarios (the last one emerged through the conversation that took place) and to make the final decision on this matter at the next board, so that it has first there is an examination and discussion on the positives and negatives of each solution.

The three scenarios that emerged are:

The draw for the playoffs (with ranking numbers) simultaneously with that for the regular season

The draw after the completion of the regular season, but with balls

The fully electronic lottery (in which all parameterizations and key numbers will be entered), but with the production of many scenarios-results (that is, to result from it, for example, 10 or 20 possible programs) and then with a numbered ball to determine which of them will be the final schedule of the playoffs.

Η ΑΕΚ επανέφερε με επιστολή της στην διοργανώτρια το θέμα της κλήρωσης της Superleague, ποια τα τρία σενάρια που προέκυψαν.

Στο σημερινό ΔΣ της Superleague επανήλθε το θέμα της συζήτησης για την κλήρωση των Play-offs της Superleague σχετικά με το πως θα εξασφαλιστεί στον απόλυτο βαθμό το αδιάβλητο της διαδικασίας. Ο CEO και Α' αντιπρόεδρος της ΑΕΚ, Γιώργος Κοσμάς ανέφερε σχετικά με το θέμα αυτό στο ΔΣ:

«Βασικοί άξονες της πρότασης μας είναι δύο, στα πλαίσια πάντα της προσπάθειας για διαφάνεια και αξιοπιστία ώστε να μην υπάρχουν υπόνοιες, όπως συνέβη στην κλήρωση των playoffs του πρωταθλήματος που ολοκληρώθηκε. Η μία λύση είναι να πραγματοποιηθεί η κλήρωση αμέσως μετά από αυτή της κανονικής διάρκειας του πρωταθλήματος, με αριθμούς που θα αντιστοιχούν στη θέση που θα καταλάβει κάθε ομάδα στην κανονική διάρκεια, δηλαδή για τα playoffs από το 1 έως το 6 και για τα playouts από το 7 έως το 14. Αν αυτό δεν μπορεί να πραγματοποιηθεί τεχνικά, λόγω των κλειδαρίθμων που θα χρειαστούν εφόσον προκύψουν θέματα ασφαλείας ή εντοπιότητας όταν διαμορφωθεί η κατάταξη, όπως για παράδειγμα να συμπέσουν ΠΑΟΚ και Άρης, η δεύτερη λύση είναι να γίνει η κλήρωση μετά το τέλος της κανονικής διαρκείας, αλλά χειροκίνητα όπως στις διεθνείς διοργανώσεις, με μπαλάκια που θα τα τραβήξουν οι εκπρόσωποι των ομάδων, ώστε να μην επαναληφθεί αυτή η παρωδία που ζήσαμε στα περσινά playoffs. Και σε αυτή τη διαδικασία μπορούν να υπάρξουν κλειδάριθμοι. Δεν νομίζω κάποιος να έχει αντίρρηση να θέσουμε ασφαλιστικές δικλείδες με σκοπό τη διασφάλιση της αξιοπιστίας και της διαφάνειας και την εξαφάνιση των υπονοιών και των περίεργων σεναρίων».

Μάλιστα, όταν ο Κώστας Καραπαπάς είπε στον κ. Κοσμά «ας το αφήσουμε για μεταγενέστερο χρόνο, δεν μας λυπάστε να συζητάμε για σενάρια και κλειδάριθμους τέλος Ιουνίου;» του απάντησε: «Την ΑΕΚ δεν την λυπήθηκε κάνεις που παραλίγο να μας βάλουν να παίξουμε δέκα σερί ματς εκτός έδρας»!

Τελικά η απόφαση που πάρθηκε από το αρμόδιο τμήμα της λίγκας ήταν να καταρτιστεί ένα πλάνο πιθανής υλοποίησης για τρία σενάρια (το τελευταίο προέκυψε μέσα από την κουβέντα που έγινε) και να παρθεί η τελική απόφαση επί του θέματος αυτού στο επόμενο ΔΣ, έτσι σώστε να έχει γίνει πρώτα μία εξετάση και συζήτηση πάνω στα θετικά και αρνητικά της κάθε λύσης.

Τα τρία σενάρια που προέκυψαν είναι:

Η κλήρωση των playoffs (με αριθμούς κατάταξης) ταυτόχρονά με αυτήν για την κανονική διάρκεια

Η κλήρωση μετά την ολοκλήρωση της κανονικής διάρκειας της σεζόν, αλλά με μπαλάκια

Η πλήρως ηλεκτρονική κλήρωση (στην οποία θα μπουν όλες οι παραμετροποιήσεις και οι κλειδάριθμοι), αλλά με την παραγωγή πολλών σεναρίων-αποτελεσμάτων (να προκύψουν, δηλαδή, από αυτή π.χ. 10 ή 20 πιθανά προγράμματα) και στη συνέχεια με αριθμημένο μπαλάκι να καθοριστεί ποιο από αυτά θα αποτελέσει το τελικό πρόγραμμα των playoffs.
