The draw for the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League was completed at noon on Wednesday and Panathinaikos learned that they will face Ukrainian Dnipro. At the same time, however, Olympiacos also learned about its potential opponent from the side of the eliminated. In the other pair of the path of non-champions, Servette will face Genk, which means that the loser of this pair will "go down" to Europa and will face the "red and whites" in the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League.

The draw for the third qualifying phase of the Europa League will take place on July 24th, but now it matters little beyond the procedural, namely who will play first at home. The dates that matter are of course those of the matches, with the first match on August 10 and the second leg a week later, on the 17th. About two weeks before, Olympiacos will in any case know the opponent since the second leg of the second qualifying round of the Champions will be held on August 1 or 2.

After all that, Olympiacos also know that they only need one qualification to secure European groups, which is to qualify from the Europa League 3rd qualifying round to the Europa League playoffs. There, even in the event of his exclusion, he will then automatically play in the Europa Conference League groups. If, respectively, it is eliminated in the C qualifying round of the Europa Leaue, then it is sent to the playoffs of the Europa Conference League and will have one more chance to enter the groups of the third tier European competition.

Τον πιθανό αντίπαλό του στην Γ' προκριματική φάση του Europa League έμαθε ο Ολυμπιακός, ο οποίος θα αντιμετωπίσει τον χαμένο του ζευγαριού Σερβέτ – Γκενκ. Στις 10 και 17 Αυγούστου τα ματς.

Η κλήρωση του Β' προκριματικού γύρου του Champions League ολοκληρώθηκε το μεσημέρι της Τετάρτης και ο Παναθηναϊκός έμαθε ότι θα αντιμετωπίσει την ουκρανική Ντνίπρο. Ταυτόχρονα όμως, από την... σπόντα των αποκλεισμένων, τον πιθανό αντίπαλό του έμαθε και ο Ολυμπιακός. Στο άλλο ζευγάρι του μονοπατιού των μη πρωταθλητών, η Σερβέτ θα αντιμετωπίσει τη Γκενκ, κάτι που σημαίνει ότι ο ηττημένος αυτού του ζευγαριού, θα «κατέβει» στο Europa και θα κοντραριστεί με τους «ερυθρόλευκους» στον Γ' προκριματικό γύρο του Europa League.

Η κλήρωση της Γ' προκριματικής φάσης του Europa θα διεξαχθεί στις 24 Ιουλίου, ωστόσο πλέον αυτή ελάχιστη σημασία πέρα από τα διαδικαστικά, δηλαδή το ποιος θα παίξει πρώτος εντός έδρας. Οι ημερομηνίες που έχουν σημασία είναι βεβαίως αυτές των αγώνων, με πρώτο ματς στις 10 Αυγούστου και τη ρεβάνς μια βδομάδα μετά, στις 17. Περίπου δύο εβδομάδες πριν, ο Ολυμπιακός σε κάθε περίπτωση θα γνωρίζει τον αντίπαλο αφού η ρεβάνς της Β' προκριματικής του Champions θα διεξαχθεί 1 ή 2 Αυγούστου.

Μετά από όλα αυτά, ο Ολυμπιακός γνωρίζει επίσης ότι χρειάζεται μόνο μία πρόκριση για να εξασφαλίσει ευρωπαϊκούς ομίλους, δηλαδή να προκριθεί από την Γ' προκριματική φάση του Europa στα πλέι οφ του Europa League. Εκεί, ακόμη και στο ενδεχόμενο αποκλεισμού του, τότε αυτομάτως θα παίξει στους ομίλους του Europa Conference League. Αν αντίστοιχα αποκλειστεί στον Γ προκριματικό γύρο του Europa Leaue, τότε οδηγείται στα πλέι οφ του Europa Conference League και θα έχει ακόμη μια ευκαιρία για να μπει στους ομίλους της τρίτης τη τάξει ευρωπαϊκής διοργάνωσης.
