Καλή η προσπάθεια της ΑΕΚ, που ηττήθηκε όμως από τη Μάλαγα (65-75) και πηγαίνει στα playoffs του Basketball Champions League με μειονέκτημα έδρας.
Ο κόσμος ήταν ξανά εκεί να την υποστηρίξει, η ΑΕΚ έκανε καλή προσπάθεια το βράδυ της Τρίτης (21/3) απέναντι στη Μάλαγα, στο τέλος όμως ηττήθηκε με 65-75 και έχασε την πρώτη θέση του ομίλου με αποτέλεσμα να συνεχίσει στα playoffs του Basketball Champions League με μειονέκτημα έδρας για την πρόκριση στο Final Four.
Οι κιτρινόμαυροι έκλεισαν το ματς με 3/19 τρίποντα και αυτό ήταν το στοιχείο που τους πλήγωσε περισσότερο από κάθε άλλο, με την απουσία του Γιάνις Στρέλνιεκς (εκτός για το υπόλοιπο της σεζόν) να είναι κάτι περισσότερο από εμφανής σε αρκετά σημεία του αγώνα. Λεμάρ, Μάιλς και Οριόλα δεν βρέθηκαν σε καλή βραδιά εκτελεστικά και η ΑΕΚ περιμένει πλέον να μάθει την ομάδα με την οποία θα παλέψει, η οποία θα προκύψει από κλήρωση.
Η Μάλαγα, από την πλευρά της, πήρε την πρώτη θέση και το πλεονέκτημα έδρας για τη σειρά best-of-three, οπότε θα είναι το φαβορί για να φτάσει στο Final Four. Οι Ανδαλουσιάνοι είχαν 19 ασίστ για 11 λάθη, κάλυψαν την κακή βραδιά του Κέντρικ Πέρι και με τον Τάισον Κάρτερ να ξεχωρίζει στην επίθεση, πήραν το αποτέλεσμα που στο φινάλε πανηγύρισαν και έντονα.
