Damet renewed with Newcastle
Newcastle have announced the extension of full back Paul Damet's contract for another year.
The Newcastle jersey will be worn in the 2022-23 season by the defender Paul Damet, who renewed his contract for another year, as it was officially announced.
The 30-year-old full-back is a native of the region and belongs to the potential of the "buzzards" since 2011, while he made his debut with the big team in January 2013 and since then he has recorded more than 200 participations.
"It's a great moment for the club and the city. "That's why I'm excited to be here for another year and stay in the team I have supported since I was a child," said Damet, who is an international with the Welsh national team.
"Paul is a great professional and that's why I'm happy to be on the team," said coach Howie.

Τη φανέλα της Νιούκαστλ θα φοράει και τη σεζόν 2022-23 ο αμυντικός Πολ Ντάμετ, ο οποίος ανανέωσε το συμβόλαιό του για ένα ακόμα έτος, όπως ανακοινώθηκε με κάθε επισημότητα.
Ο 30χρονος μπακ είναι γέννημα-θρέμμα της περιοχής και ανήκει στο δυναμικό των «καρακαξών» από το 2011, ενώ έκανε το ντεμπούτο του με τη μεγάλη ομάδα τον Ιανουάριο του 2013 κι έκτοτε έχει καταγράψει περισσότερες από 200 συμμετοχές.
«Είναι μια εξαιρετική στιγμή για τον σύλλογο και την πόλη. Γι’ αυτό και είμαι ενθουσιασμένος που θα αγωνίζομαι εδώ για έναν ακόμα χρόνο και θα παραμείνω στην ομάδα που υποστηρίζω από παιδί», ανέφερε ο Ντάμετ, που είναι διεθνής με την εθνική Ουαλίας.
