Australian Open: Barty unstoppable, Anisimova dethroned Osaka

The Barty-Osaka match will not take place in the "16" as Amanda Anisimova eliminated the Japanese.

Everyone was waiting to see the duel of Ashley Barty and Naomi Osaka in the "16" of the Australian Open, but the duo was spoiled by Amanda Anisimova.

The 20-year-old tennis player made the surprise and threw out last year's title holder, Naomi Osaka. He prevailed with 2-1 sets (4-6, 6-3, 7-6) in a match for strong nerves, which lasted 2 hours and minutes and will play against Barty in the "16" phase.

Osaka had its known problems in the first serve, however the break it made in the first game of the match, was enough to give it 1-0 with 6-4.

The 20-year-old Anisimova raised her level and played more aggressively, winning the second 6-3.

In the third set the two opponents did not lose service game until the tie break. Earlier, in favor of 5-4, Osaka had two opportunities for a break that would mean qualification, but wasted them. The set went to the super tie break where Anisimova took a 3-0 lead, a difference she kept with her fingernails and teeth, refusing to give a point to her serve. The mistake came from Osaka in its service (8-4). She reached 4 match points (9-5) and ended the tie break with 10-5 in the biggest victory of her career.

Easy Barty and Giorgi

Ashley Barty continues in the same aggressive pattern in Melbourne. The No. 1 in the world got another easy qualification, this time against Camila Giorgi, with a 2-0 set (6-2, 6-3) in one hour of play.

The Australian tennis player is doing amazing things that we have to see from the good times of Serena Williams. In three matches she has not lost a set, while in total her opponents have won 8 games. The three that Giorgi got today in the second set, are the most that Barty has lost in one set in the tournament.

Δεν θα γίνει η κόντρα Μπάρτι – Οσάκα στις «16» καθώς η Αμάντα Ανισίμοβα απέκλεισε την Γιαπωνέζα.

Ολος ο κόσμος περίμενε να δει την μονομαχία των Ασλεϊ Μπάρτι και Ναόμι Οσάκα στις «16» του Australian Open, όμως το δίδυμο χάλασε από την Αμάντα Ανισίμοβα.

Η 20χρονη τενίστρια έκανε την έκπληξη και πέταξε εκτός την περσινή κάτοχο του τίτλου, Ναόμι Οσάκα. Επικράτησε με 2-1 σετ (4-6, 6-3, 7-6) σε ένα ματς για γερά νεύρα, που κράτησε 2 ώρες και λεπτά και θα παίξει με την Μπάρτι στην φάση των «16».

Η Οσάκα είχε τα γνωστά προβλήματά της στο πρώτο σερβίς, ωστόσο το break που έκανε στο πρώτο game του αγώνα, ήταν αρκετό για να της δώσει το 1-0 με 6-4.

Η 20χρονη Ανισίμοβα ανέβασε το επίπεδό της και έπαιξε πιο επιθετικά, κερδίζοντας το δεύτερο με 6-3.

Στο τρίτο σετ οι δύο αντίπαλες δεν έχασαν service game ως το tie break. Νωρίτερα, στο υπέρ της 5-4, η Οσάκα είχε δύο ευκαιρίες για break που θα σήμαινε και πρόκριση, όμως τις σπατάλησε. Το σετ πήγε στο super tie break όπου η Ανισίμοβα πήρε προβάδισμα με 3-0, διαφορά που κρατούσε με νύχια και με δόντια, αρνούμενη να παραδώσει πόντο στο σερβίς της. Το λάθος ήρθε από την Οσάκα στο σερβίς της (8-4). Εφτασε σε 4 match point (9-5) και τελείωσε το tie break με 10-5 στην μεγαλύτερη νίκη της καριέρας της.

Εύκολα η Μπάρτι και την Γκιόργκι

Η Ασλεϊ Μπάρτι συνεχίζει στο ίδιο επιθετικό μοτίβο στην Μελβούρνη. Το Νο1 του κόσμου πήρε άλλη μία εύκολη πρόκριση, αυτή τη φορά επί της Καμίλα Γκιόργκι, με 2-0 σετ (6-2, 6-3) σε μία ώρα αγώνα.

Η Αυστραλή τενίστρια κάνει εκπληκτικά πράγματα που έχουμε να τα δούμε από τις καλές εποχές της Σερένα Γουίλιαμς. Σε τρία ματς δεν έχει χάσει σετ, ενώ συνολικά οι αντίπαλές της έχουν κατακτήσει 8 games. Τα τρία που πήρε σήμερα η Γκιόργκι στο δεύτερο σετ, είναι τα περισσότερα που έχει χάσει σε ένα σετ στο τουρνουά η Μπάρτι.
