Η Φενέρμπαχτσε ολοκλήρωσε την ανατροπή από το -17 και έκλεψε τη νίκη από τη Ζάλγκιρις με 73-67 για την 22η αγωνιστική της EuroLeague.

Αν και βρέθηκε να χάνει ακόμα και με 17 πόντους, η Φενέρμπαχτσε έκανε αντεπίθεση διαρκείας και πήρε τη νίκη επί της Ζάλγκιρις με 73-67 στην Κωνσταντινούπολη για την 22η αγωνιστική της EuroLeague, βυθίζοντας κι άλλο τους Λιθουανούς. Χωρίς τον Σάσα Ομπράντοβιτς στον πάγκο λόγω κορονοϊού και με απόντες τους Ντε Κολό, Βέσελι και μερικούς ακόμα παίκτες, οι γηπεδούχοι έδειξαν ψυχωμένοι και με τη βοήθεια του κοινού τους πήραν την ένατή τους νίκη.

Οι Λιθουανοί έχασαν μεγάλη ευκαιρία να πάρουν νίκη ψυχολογίας και παρέμεινες στην τελευταία θέση της βαθμολογίας γνωρίζοντας την 15η τους ήττα. Πρώτος σκόρερ για τη Φενέρμπαχτσε ήταν ο φοβερός Μάρκο Γκούντουριτς με 19 πόντους ενώ για τη Ζάλγκιρις ο Λουκοσιούνας είχε 15 και ο Μπλάζεβιτς 10 με 10 ριμπάουντ.

Ο αγώνας

Με φορά μπήκαν οι φιλοξενούμενοι στο ματς ξεκινώντας δυνατά και στις δύο πλευρές του γηπέδου και αιφνιδιάζοντας τη Φενέρμπαχτσε, παρά τα πέντε λάθη στα οποία υπέπεσαν από νωρίς. Οι γηπεδούχοι έδειξαν ανισορροπία, δεν κυκλοφόρησαν σωστά την μπάλα και έδωσαν την ευκαιρία στη Ζάλγκιρις να τρέξει στο transition σε ένα πρώτο δεκάλεπτο με χαμηλό σκορ. Με την έναρξη του δεύτερου δεκαλέπτου οι φιλοξενούμενοι πήγαν τη διαφορά σε διψήφια επίπεδα δείχνοντας καλό πρόσωπο σε άμυνα και επίθεση. Ένα ξέσπασμα της Φενέρμπαχτσε έφερε το ματς σε σχετική ισορροπία ενώ το καλάθι του Πιερ σε νεκρό χρόνο έστειλε τις δύο ομάδες στα αποδυτήρια με τη διαφορά στο +6 υπέρ των φιλοξενούμενων.

Στο δεύτερο μισό το ματς άλλαξε εντελώς, η Φενέρμπαχτσε ξύπνησε, αν και στην αρχή αιφνιδιάστηκε και έδειξε να βρίσκει σταδιακά ρυθμό. Τα τρίποντα της Ζάλγκιρις κράτησαν τους φιλοξενούμενους μπροστά στο σκορ, ενώ η Φενέρ βρήκε κρίσιμα καλάθια από τον Γκούντουριτς. Ο Λουκοσιούνας βγήκε μπροστά για τους Λιθουανούς, έκανε εξαιρετική εμφάνιση αλλά το ματς είχε γίνει ντέρμπι με τη διαφορά στους τέσσερις στα μισά της τέταρτης περιόδου. Οι Τούρκοι έφεραν το ματς στα ίσα και πήραν προβάδισμα με βολές του Γκούντουριτς και ολοκλήρωσαν την ανατροπή με μία σπουδαία νίκη.
