Panathinaikos - Tenerife 2-3

In the most crucial game of the season, Panathinaikos was forced to play without its three foreigners, but made a great effort, took two sets and although Tenerife took the double and the lead (3-2 sets), with a victory in Spain it can pass to 4a.

The hosts with Papafotiou's block led 10-5 while the difference reached 7 points (15-9) with a series of attacks by Konstantinos and the passage of Hatziefstratiadou.

Tenerife reduced the errors from Konstantinou and Hadava to 16-12 but Jordan's lost serve brought the clover to an advantage again. With Konstantinos in the service line, the team of Apostolos Oikonomou not only built a difference but the Cypriot winger did not leave from 9 meters until the final of the set and 25-12 after a lost attack by Arendondo.

With an attack by Zanpier, Tenerife took a two-point lead in the third set with the clover equalizing with a block by Papafotiou. With a block of the French extreme in Chatziefstratiadou, Tenerife reached 6-9 and 8-13 with a block of Arendondo in Tsitsigianni.

With an attack by Martinez, the Spanish team reached 19-22 but the clover reduced to one point (21-22) with an ace from Papafotiou. With Wagner's block, Tenerife took a significant lead again and closed the set with an attack by Arendondo.

With an attack by Martinez, Tenerife reached 2-5 in the tiebreak.Panathinaikos approached with a block out of Hadava for 9-10 but the Spaniards with Wagner again reached 9-12. Panathinaikos reduced again to the point with an ace of Hatziefstratiadou but Tenerife found the solutions again and got the victory.

Στο πιο κρίσιμο παιχνίδι της σεζόν ο Παναθηναϊκός υποχρεώθηκε να αγωνιστεί χωρίς τις τρεις ξένες του, έκανε όμως μεγάλη προσπάθεια, πήρε δυο σετ και παρότι η Τενερίφη πήρε το διπλό και το προβάδισμα (3-2 σετ), μπορεί με νίκη στην Ισπανία να περάσει στην 4άδα.

Μετά την ήττα του στο κλειστό του Αγίου Θωμά ο Παναθηναϊκός θέλει μόνο νίκη στον επαναληπτικό που θα γίνει στις 2 Φεβρουαρίου. Σε περίπτωση που επικρατήσει με 3-0 ή 3-1 τότε παίρνει απευθείας την πρόκριση για τα ημιτελικά. Σε περίπτωση νίκης με 3-2 σετ όλα θα κριθούν στο χρυσό σετ.

Το τριφύλλι που είχε σημαντικές απουσίες έπαιξε με ψυχή, μπορούσε να πάρει ακόμη και τη νίκη αφού προηγήθηκε με 2-1 αλλά κρίσιμα λάθη στο φινάλε των σετ έδωσαν στις Ισπανίδες τη νίκη. Ο Παναθηναϊκός αντιμετώπισε πολλά θέματα στην υποδοχή, δε βρήκε εύκολους πόντους ιδιαίτερα στον πρώτο χρόνο και η ισπανική ομάδα πήρε αυτό που ήθελε στην Αθήνα. Η ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου είχε πρώτη σκόρερ την Εύα Χαντάβα ενώ μεγάλες βοήθειες στο μπλοκ, που ήταν και πάλι σε καλό επίπεδο για τον Παναθηναϊκό, έδωσε η Παπαφωτίου που είχε και τρεις άσους. Καλή εμφάνιση ερχόμενη από τον πάγκο έκανε η Κωνσταντέλλου ενώ χρόνο πήρε και η Μπραμπίλα

Για την Τενερίφη μεγάλο ματς έκαναν οι δύο κεντρικές Τζόρνταν και Βάγκνερ αλλά και η Αρεδόνδο. Οι Ισπανίδες χτύπησαν από τη γραμμή του σερβίς ενώ είχαν σε μεγάλη μέρα και το μπλοκ τους. 

Η ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου παρατάχθηκε στον αγώνα λαβωμένη λόγω του κορωνοϊού. Οι ξένες Κρος, Γκρόθες και Στεπανένκο έμειναν στα... πιτς με τον Έλληνα τεχνικό να ανακατεύει την τράπουλα.

Κάπως έτσι για το τριφύλλι ξεκίνησαν οι Παπαφωτίου στην πάσα, Τσιτσιγιάννη στη διαγώνιο, Χαντάβα - Κωνσταντίνου στα άκρα, Χατζηευστρατιάδου - Μεταξά στο κέντρο και λίμπερο τη Ρόγκα.

Η Τενερίφη ξεκίνησε με τις Αράντα Μουνιόθ στην πάσα, την Αρεδόνδο στη διαγώνιο, τις Ενσουγκιμίνα- Ζανπιέρ στα άκρα, τις Βάγκνερ - Τζόρνταν στο κέντρο και λίμπερο τη Γιαμπρές.

Με το καλό σερβίς της Μουνιόθ η Τενερίφη έφτασε στο 2-5 στο πρώτο σετ με τον Παναθηναϊκό να βρίσκει απάντηση και να ισοφαρίζει σε 6-6 με σερί λάθη από τις φιλοξενούμενες. Το τριφύλλι προσπέρασε για πρώτη φορά με 9-8 με επίθεση της Χαντάβα.

Η ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου αντιμετώπισε θέμα με την υποδοχή του με αποτέλεσμα η Τενερίφη να πάρει και πάλι τα ηνία του σετ. Με την Αρεδόνδο στη γραμμή του σερβίς οι Ισπανίδες έχτισαν σερί, ο Απόστολος Οικονόμου έκανε αλλαγές (Ξηντάρα αντί Χαντάβα) αλλά η εικόνα του σετ δεν άλλαξε. Ο Παναθηναϊκός ήταν εξαιρετικά ασταθής στην υποδοχή του με αποτέλεσμα να γίνει προβλέψιμος επιθετικά με την Ενσουγκιμίνα να τελειώνει το πρώτο σετ για την ομάδα της Τενερίφης.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός μπήκε πολύ καλά στο δεύτερο σετ. Με λάθος επίθεση της Αρεδόνδο το τριφύλλι έφτασε στο 6-2 με της Ισπανίδες να μειώνουν σε 7-5 με μπλοκ της Βάγκνερ. Οι γηπεδούχες με μπλοκ της Παπαφωτίου προηγήθηκε με 10-5 ενώ η διαφορά έφτασε στους 7 πόντους (15-9) με σερί επιθέσεις της Κωνσταντίνου και πέρασμα της Χατζηευστρατιάδου. 

Τα λάθη από Κωνσταντίνου και Χαντάβα η Τενερίφη μείωσε σε 16-12 αλλά το χαμένο σερβίς της Τζόρνταν έφεραν το τριφύλλι και πάλι σε πλεονέκτημα. Με την Κωνσταντίνου στη γραμμή του σερβίς η ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου όχι μόνο έχτισε διαφορά αλλά η Κύπρια ακραία δεν έφυγε από τα 9 μέτρα μέχρι το φινάλε του σετ και το 25-12 μετά από χαμένη επίθεση της Αρεδόνδο.

Με επίθεση της Ζανπιέρ η Τενερίφη πήρε προβάδισμα δύο πόντων στο τρίτο σετ με το τριφύλλι να ισοφαρίζει με μπλοκ της Παπαφωτίου. Με μπλοκ της Γαλλίδας ακραίας στη Χατζηευστρατιάδου η Τενερίφη έφτασε στο 6-9 και το 8-13 με μπλοκ της Αρεδόνδο στην Τσιτσιγιάννη.

Με τη Χαντάβα στη γραμμή του σερβίς η ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου ισοφάρισε σε 15-15 με μπλοκ της Παπαφωτίου και άουτ επίθεση της Βάγκνερ. Οι Ισπανίδες προσπέρασαν και πάλι με τρεις πόντους (17-20) με τη Βάγκνερ με τον Παναθηναϊκό να μειώνει στο ελάχιστο (20-21) με μπλοκ της Κωνσταντέλλου. Η Τενερίφη έφτασε στο διπλό σετ μπολ (22-24) με την Αρεδόνδο αλλά τα απώλεσε αμφότερα φτάνοντας και σε τρίτη ευκαιρία να κλείσει το σετ. Το φινάλε του σετ έγινε γκραν γκινιόλ με την ομάδα του Απόστολου Οικονόμου να χάνει κι εκείνη δύο ευκαιρίες αλλά να κάνει το 29-27 με τη Χαντάβα και το 2-1 στα σετ. 

Με δύο σερί λάθη της Τενερίφης και πλασέ της Μπραμπίλα ο Παναθηναϊκός προηγήθηκε με 6-2 στο τέταρτο σετ. Οι Ισπανίδες ισοφάρισαν σε 6-6 με τα καλά σερβίς της Μουνιόθ. Ο Παναθηναϊκός ξέφυγε και πάλι (13-10) με δύο σερί άσους της Παπαφωτίου. Οι Ισπανίδες με την Αρεδόνδο στη γραμμή του σερβίς έχτισαν σερί και προσπέρασαν μετά από λάθος της Κωνσταντέλλου.

Με επίθεση της Μαρτίνεθ η ισπανική ομάδα έφτασε στο 19-22 αλλά το τριφύλλι μείωσε στον πόντο (21-22) με άσο της Παπαφωτίου. Με μπλοκ της Βάγκνερ η Τενερίφη πήρε και πάλι σημαντικό προβάδισμα και έκλεισε το σετ με επίθεση της Αρεδόνδο. 

Με επίθεση της Μαρτίνεθ η Τενερίφη έφτασε σττο 2-5 στο τάι μπρέικ. Ο Παναθηναϊκός πλησίασε με μπλοκ άουτ της Χαντάβα για το 9-10 αλλά οι Ισπανίδες με τη Βάγκνερ και πάλι έφτασαν στο 9-12. Ο Παναθηναϊκός μείωσε και πάλι στον πόντο με άσο της Χατζηευστρατιάδου αλλά η Τενερίφη βρήκε και πάλι τις λύσεις και πήρε τη νίκη.
