Αν και βρέθηκαν στο -19 παίζοντας άθλια στο πρώτο ημίχρονο, οι Μιλγουόκι Μπακς έβαλαν τα... καλά τους στο δεύτερο μισό του ματς και με έναν εκπληκτικό Γιάννη Αντετοκούνμπο (36π., 12ριμπ., 5ασ.) επικράτησαν των Μπόστον Σέλτικς με 117-113.

Το ματς

Οι Μιλγουόκι Μπακς βρέθηκαν πίσω στο σκορ με 19 πόντους διαφορά στο πρώτο ημίχρονο. Επίσης βρέθηκαν πίσω στο σκορ με 13 πόντους πεντέμισι λεπτά πριν από το τέλος! Δεν είχαν πει την τελευταία τους λέξη!

Με τον Γιάννη Αντετοκούνμπο να «ξυπνάει» από τον... λήθαργο του ημιχρόνου όντας και επηρεασμένος από την αποχή του λόγω της Covid-19 και να σημειώνει 29 από τους 36 πόντους (13/21 δίποντα, 0/2 τρίποντα, 10/15 βολές) στο δεύτερο ημίχρονο έχοντας επίσης 12 ριμπάουντ, 5 ασίστ, 2 τάπες και 2 λάθη, οι Μπακς έφτασαν στην μεγάλη ανατροπή και στη νίκη κόντρα στους Σέλτικς με 117-113.

Είναι χαρακτηριστικό ότι οι Μπακς ήταν πίσω στο σκορ καθ' όλη τη διάρκεια του αγώνα και μόλις 30 δευτερόλεπτα πριν από το τέλος κατάφεραν να πάρουν το πρώτο τους προβάδισμα στο σκορ ύστερα από το κρίσιμο τρίποντο του Ουέσλι Μάθιους για το 114-113. Στα 22'' πριν από το τέλος ο Τζέιλεν Μπράουν αστόχησε, ο Μίντλετον ευστόχησε σ' ένα ζευγάρι βολών στα 17'' για το 116-113 ενώ στη συνέχεια ο Γιάννης θύμισε την... τάπα στον Έιτον πάνω στον Ουίλιαμς και ουσιαστικά «υπέγραψε» τη νίκη των Μπακς.

Οι Κρις Μίντλετον (17π., 7ασ.) και Τζρου Χόλιντεϊ (17π., 5ριμπ., 3ασ., 3κλ.) συμπλήρωσαν ιδανικά τον Αντετοκούνμπο, ενώ σημαντικές βοήθειες πρόσφερε και ο Μπόμπι Πόρτις (16π., 10ριμπ., 4ασ.)

Για λογαριασμό των Σέλτικς, οι Τέιτουμ και Μπράουν είχαν από 25 πόντους, ενώ πολύ καλή ήταν συνολικά και η παρουσία των Πρίτσαρντ (16π., 4/8τρ.), Σμαρτ (19π., 7ασ.) και Ουίλιαμς (11π., 14ριμπ.)

Το ματς

Στο πρώτο ημίχρονο οι Μπόστον Σέλτικς μπήκαν πολύ δυνατά στο ματς και έσπευσαν να γίνουν τα «αφεντικά» του αγώνα! Σκόραραν όπως ήθελαν και... όποτε ήθελαν, ενώ την ίδια ώρα οι Μπακς αλλού πάταγαν και αλλού βρίσκονταν στο παρκέ του «Fiserv Forum». Με το ξεκίνημα του αγώνα το σκορ ήταν 5-17 για τους φιλοξενούμενους οι οποίοι φρόντισαν να κρατήσουν σταθερά την διψήφια διαφορά στο σκορ. Ο Τζέιλεν Μπράουν ήταν εκείνος που έδωσε το έναυσμα με 14 πόντους στο ξεκίνημα του ματς, ενώ οι Πρίτσαρντ και Τέιτουμ πήραν τη σκυτάλη (13-27, 15-31) έως το τέλος της 1ης περιόδου (22-35).

Στο δεύτερο 12λεπτο ο δείκτης του σκορ έφτασε και στο +19 (27-46) για λογαριασμό των Σέλτικς, δείγμα και των όσων διαδραματίζονταν στο Μιλγουόκι. Οι «Κέλτες», παρά τις απουσίες τους, ήταν οι απόλυτοι κυρίαρχοι του παιχνιδιού, με τους Μπακς να πλησιάζουν στους 12 πόντους (34-46) και στη συνέχεια στους 10 πόντους (42-52). Και πάλι. Η Βοστόνη είχε το «καθαρό» μυαλό για να επαναφέρουν τη διαφορά στο +15 (47-62) έως το τέλος του ημιχρόνου. Ένα διάστημα όπου ο Γιάννης κινήθηκε στα ρηχά έχοντας μόλις 7 πόντους.

Όμως στην 3η περίοδο, σαν να... γύρισε ολοκληρωτικά το «τσιπάκι»! Τόσο για τους Μπακς, όσο και για τον ίδιο τον Γιάννη ο οποίος πήρε την κατάσταση στα χέρια του και άρχισε να «ροκανίζει» την διαφορά για λογαριασμό της ομάδας του. Είναι χαρακτηριστικό ότι έφτασε και σε απόσταση πέντε πόντων από τους Σέλτικς (65-71) ενώ με τον Αντετοκούνμπο να «οργιάζει» στο παρκέ, το Μιλγουόκι μετέτρεψε το παιχνίδι σε πραγματικό θρίλερ πλησιάζοντας στον πόντο (88-89) πριν κλείσει το 12λεπτο στο 90-94.

Και πάλι οι Σέλτικς έδειξαν χαρακτήρα και καθαρό μυαλό! Με μπροστά τον Τέιτουμ έφτασαν εκ νέου στο +13 (96-109) και κάπου εκεί όλα έδειχναν ότι είχαν πάρει τον δρόμο τους. Οι Μπακς έβγαλαν περίσσια αυταπάρνηση και με τον Γιάννη να παίρνει τις επιθέσεις πάνω του έφερε το ματς στα ίσια (111-111) στο 1:29 πριν από το τέλος. ¨Εκτοτε το ματς έγινε «αίμα και άμμος» με τον Μάθιους να ευστοχεί στο clutch τρίποντο της βραδιάς με το οποίο οι Μπακς πήραν για πρώτο φορά το προβάδισμα στα 30'' πριν από το τέλος (114-113) το οποίο και διατήρησαν έως το τέλος.
