Euroleague: Ataman top coach of the season
The Euroleague champion with Anadolu Efes, Ergin Ataman, became the top coach of the season in the tournament.
The Turkish coach led the team of Istanbul to the first Euroleague title in its history, with a record of victories - defeats 22-12 in the regular season and 3rd place. Efes then eliminated Real Madrid in the playoffs 3-2, in the semifinals they overcame the obstacle of the Euroleague 2019 champion, CSKA Moscow (86-89), to prevail with 86-81 of Barcelona in the final four of Cologne and be crowned European champion 2021.
In fact, Efes became the first team in two decades to win the Euroleague trophy without having even one player with a title in the tournament.
Ataman was named the top coach of the year by the other coaches of the tournament. The 55-year-old coach received the first 12 votes from the 18 coaches who voted in total. Every Euroleague coach who participates in the voting does not have the right to vote for himself.
Second in the votes was the Italian coach of Bayern Munich, Andrea Trincieri, third was Ettore Messina of Armani Milano and fourth was Saronas Jasikevicius of Barcelona.

Ο πρωταθλητής Euroleague με την Αναντολού Εφές, Εργκίν Αταμάν, αναδείχτηκε κορυφαίος προπονητής της σεζόν στη διοργάνωση.
Ο Τούρκος τεχνικός οδήγησε την ομάδα της Κωνσταντινούπολης στον πρώτο τίτλο Euroleague της ιστορίας της, με ρεκόρ νικών - ηττών 22-12 στην κανονική περίοδο και την 3η θέση. Εν συνεχεία η Εφές απέκλεισε τη Ρεάλ Μαδρίτης στα πλέι οφ με 3-2, στα ημιτελικά ξεπέρασε το εμπόδιο της πρωταθλήτριας Euroleague 2019, ΤΣΣΚΑ Μόσχας (86-89), για να επικρατήσει με 86-81 της Μπαρτσελόνα στον τελικό του φάιναλ φορ της Κολωνίας και να στεφθεί πρωταθλήτρια Ευρώπης 2021.
Μάλιστα, η Εφές έγινε η πρώτη ομάδα σε δύο δεκαετίες που κατέκτησε το τρόπαιο της Euroleague χωρίς να έχει έστω και έναν παίκτη με τίτλο στη διοργάνωση.
Τον Αταμάν ανέδειξαν ως κορυφαίο τεχνικό της χρονιάς, οι υπόλοιποι προπονητές της διοργάνωσης. Ο 55χρονος coach πήρε 12 πρώτες ψήφους από τους 18 προπονητές που ψήφισαν συνολικά. Κάθε προπονητής ομάδας Euroleague που συμμετέχει στην ψηφοφορία δεν έχει δικαίωμα να ψηφίσει τον εαυτό του.
Δεύτερος σε ψήφους ήταν ο Ιταλός προπονητής της Μπάγερν Μονάχου, Αντρέα Τρινκιέρι, τρίτος ο Έτορε Μεσίνα της Αρμάνι Μιλάνο και τέταρτος ο Σαρούνας Γιασικεβίτσιους της Μπαρτσελόνα.
