Victory with a reversal for Finikas Syros in "Palataki", 3-1 against PAOK

Despite losing the first set, Finikas Syros won the next three together and the victory with 3-1 sets for the second match of the 1-4 places of the Volleyleague men.

Although they were back in the score with 1-0 sets, Finikas won the next three and reached a very important victory over PAOK with 3-1 sets for the 2nd game of positions 1-4 of the VolleyLeague.

The hosts, despite their good and dynamic start, did not have the appropriate continuity against a spirited Phoenix who needed victory at all costs. The Syrians improved in all the elements of their game, their block worked very well and they won by overthrowing "Palataki".

THE RACE

PAOK got relatively easily the first, poor quality, set with 25-17, with Finikas Syros paying for his poor offensive development and the many mistakes in the attack, giving essentially several points to the team of Thessaloniki.

In the second set, Finikas Syros appeared much improved on the block, saw 23% in the attack of the first set go up vertically and created many problems for PAOK. The hosts did not have the good image of the first set, it was their turn to make mistakes especially in the reception and they gave Finikas the opportunity to equalize in the sets with the very comfortable 25-9.

The third set was a derby, with both teams going point-to-point to the middle of the set. From there on, Finikas got a difference of three points which he then widened, thus reaching the conquest of the set with 25-17 and 2-1 in the sets.

The fourth set started very well for PAOK, however the continuation was not corresponding. The Syrians picked up the pace, worked well in the block-defense part and won it with 25-16 together and the victory with 3-1 sets.

Παρά το χαμένο πρώτο σετ, ο Φοίνικας Σύρου κατέκτησε τα τρία επόμενα μαζί και τη νίκη με 3-1 σετ για τη δεύτερη αγωνιστική των θέσεων 1-4 της Volleyleague ανδρών.

Αν και βρέθηκαν πίσω στο σκορ με 1-0 σετ, ο Φοίνικας κατέκτησε τα τρία επόμενα και έφτασε σε μία πολύ σημαντική νίκη επί του ΠΑΟΚ με 3-1 σετ για την 2η αγωνιστική των θέσεων 1-4 της VolleyLeague.

Οι γηπεδούχοι παρά το καλό και δυναμικό τους ξεκίνημα, δεν είχαν την ανάλογη συνέχεια απέναντι σε ένα ψυχωμένο Φοίνικα που χρειαζόταν πάση θυσία τη νίκη. Οι Συριανοί βελτιώθηκαν σε όλα τα στοιχεία του παιχνιδιού τους, δούλεψε πολύ καλά το μπλοκ τους και πήραν νίκη με ανατροπή στο "Παλατάκι".

Ο ΑΓΩΝΑΣ

Ο ΠΑΟΚ πήρε σχετικά εύκολα το πρώτο, κακό ποιοτικά, σετ με 25-17, με τον Φοίνικα Σύρου να πληρώνει την κακή επιθετική του ανάπτυξη και τα πολλά λάθη στην επίθεση, χαρίζοντας ουσιαστικά αρκετούς πόντους στην ομάδα της Θεσσαλονικής.

Στο δεύτερο σετ, ο Φοίνικας Σύρου παρουσιάστηκε πολύ βελτιωμένος στο μπλοκ, είδε το 23% στην επίθεση του πρώτου σετ να ανεβαίνει κατακόρυφα και δημιούργησε πολλά προβλήματα στον ΠΑΟΚ. Οι γηπεδούχοι δεν είχαν την καλή εικόνα του πρώτου σετ, ήταν η σειρά τους να κάνουν λάθη ειδικά στην υποδοχή και έδωσαν στον Φοίνικα την ευκαιρία να ισοφαρίσει στα σετ με το πολύ άνετο 25-9.

Το τρίτο σετ ήταν ντέρμπι, με τις δύο ομάδες να πηγαίνουν πόντο-πόντο ως τα μέσα του σετ. Από κει και πέρα, ο Φοίνικας πήρε μία διαφορά τριών πόντων που στη συνέχεια διεύρυνε φτάνοντας έτσι στην κατάκτηση του σετ με 25-17 και το 2-1 στα σετ.

Το τέταρτο σετ ξεκίνησε πολύ καλά για τον ΠΑΟΚ, ωστόσο η συνέχεια δεν ήταν αντίστοιχη. Οι Συριανοί ανέβασαν ρυθμό, λειτούργησαν καλά στο κομμάτι μπλοκ- άμυνα και το κατέκτησαν με 25-16 μαζί και τη νίκη με 3-1 σετ.
