Δύο χρόνια μετά, ο Παλ Νταρντάι επέστρεψε στην τεχνική ηγεσία της Χέρτα Βερολίνου, παίρνοντας την θέση του απολυθέντα, Μπρούνο Λαμπαντία.
Επιστροφή στο... μέλλον για την Χέρτα Βερολίνου. Δύο ημέρες μετά την απόλυση του προπονητή Μπρούνο Λαμπαντία, αλλά και του γενικού διευθυντή Μίχαελ Πρέετς, η ομάδα της γερμανικής πρωτεύουσας, η οποία βρίσκεται στην 14η θέση της Bundesliga και στο +2 από τα... μπαράζ παραμονής, έδωσε τα ηνία σε έναν παλιό της γνώριμο.
Ο λόγος για τον 44χρονο Ούγγρο Παλ Νταρντάι, ο οποίος κάθισε στον πάγκο της Χέρτα από το 2014 έως το 2019 (μεγαλύτερη επιτυχία του, η έκτη θέση την σεζόν 2017-18). Η σχέση του Νταρντάι με τον σύλλογο, βεβαίως, είναι ακόμα πιο στενή, αφού ως ποδοσφαιριστής αγωνίστηκε 14 χρόνια στους πρωτευουσιάνους (1997-2011).
