Bucks - Magic 110-122: Defeat-shock in the playoffs premiere (vid)

THE STATISTICS THAT stood out
Orlando scored eleven points from the Bucks' five errors in the first period, to get the momentum of the game and never let it out of his hands again. Giannis Antitokoumbo (31 points from 9/18 two points, 3/7 three points and 4/9 shots) collected 17 of his team's 47 rebounds and had 25% of his assists, while at the same time Chris Middleton had 178 Million dollars closed the game with 14 points from 12 shots in 31:15 of participation.
THE RACE
Although they stepped on the gas, although they were ahead six very early (8-2), the Bucks were not consistent. The defense improved, the difference dropped to six (93-99), but there Blencho and Brooke Lopez were constantly finding iron, with Ross - Augustine seizing the opportunity to write 93-104 which now gave the team a clear lead and did not allow the Bucks to claim something more. Ο Γιάννης Αντετοκούνμπο πάλευε μόνος εναντίον όλων, όμως οι πρώτοι στην Ανατολική Περιφέρεια Μπακς ηττήθηκαν καθαρά από τους όγδοους Μάτζικ στην πρεμιέρα της σειράς των δύο ομάδων για τον πρώτο γύρο των playoffs του ΝΒΑ.
Κάθε αρχή και δύσκολη, λένε. Οι Μπακς το ένιωσαν από πρώτο χέρι, καθώς γνώρισαν μια πραγματικά σοκαριστική ήττα από τους Μάτζικ (110-122) στο πρώτο παιχνίδι της σειράς για τον Α' γύρο των playoffs του ΝΒΑ. Οι πρωτοπόροι της Ανατολής κυνηγούσαν σε όλη τη διάρκεια της αναμέτρησης τους όγδοους της Περιφέρειας, με τον Νίκολα Βούτσεβιτς να κερδίζει τη μάχη με τον Γιάννη Αντετοκούνμπο, αλλά να έχει και άξιους συμπαραστάτες σε σχέση με τον Greek Freak που πάλευε μόνος εναντίον όλων.
Οι νικητές παρατάχθηκαν χωρίς τον πόιντ γκαρντ Μάικλ Κάρτερ-Γουίλιαμς, τον φόργουορντ Άαρον Γκόρντον και τους μόνιμους πια απόντες Τζόναθαν Άιζακ - Μο Μπάμπα, ακόμη κι έτσι όμως πάλεψαν με πείσμα, με συγκέντρωση, ήταν συνεπείς και στις δύο πλευρές του παρκέ, δεν "έκλεψαν" στην τρανζίσιον άμυνα και ελπίζουν ότι θα συνεχίζουν να βάζουν δύσκολα στα Ελάφια που αυτή τη φορά δεν κάλπασαν και περιμένουν να μάθουν αν ο Γουέσλι Μάθιους που χτύπησε προς τα τέλη του αγώνα έχει κάτι σοβαρό ή κάτι επιπόλαιο.
Ο MVP
Κρεσέντο από τον Νίκολα Βούτσεβιτς, που διάβασε τα μισ-ματς, έκανε απίθανη δουλειά στην επίθεση χωρίς να εκβιάσει προσπάθειες, κυκλοφόρησε σωστά τη μπάλα και έπαιξε σαν πραγματικός ηγέτης. Ο Μαυροβούνιος σέντερ τελείωσε τον αγώνα με 35 πόντους από 10/16 δίποντα και 5/8 τρίποντα, δεν εκτέλεσε βολή, γέμισε τη στατιστική του με 12 ριμπάουντ, τρεις ασίστ, ένα κλέψιμο και όλα αυτά σε 36 λεπτά συμμετοχής απέναντι στην κορυφαία ομάδα της Ανατολικής Περιφέρειας στις τελευταίες δύο κανονικές περιόδους.
Ο ΑΔΥΝΑΜΟΣ ΚΡΙΚΟΣ
Ο Μπρουκ Λόπεζ, θα έφευγε στον πρώτο γύρο αν είχε πάει στο γνωστό τηλεπαιχνίδι. Απο νωρίς νευρίασε με τους διαιτητές ο έμπειρος σέντερ, που κλώτησε τις καρέκλες στον πάγκο στη δεύτερη περίοδο και έκλεισε τον αγώνα με αποκαρδιωτικά νούμερα. 5 πόντους από 2/5 δίποντα, 0/4 τρίποντα και 1/2 βολές έδωσε, με μόλις τέσσερα ριμπάουντ, μία ασίστ, ένα κλέψιμο και ένα μπλοκ σε 30 λεπτά συμμετοχής. Κι όταν ο αντίπαλός σου έχει δώσει ρεσιτάλ, τότε μάλλον είσαι ο πιο... αδύναμος κρίκος.
ΤΑ ΣΤΑΤΙΣΤΙΚΑ ΠΟΥ ΞΕΧΩΡΙΣΑΝ
Έντεκα πόντους σκόραρε το Ορλάντο από τα πέντε λάθη των Μπακς στην πρώτη περίοδο, για να πάρει το μομέντουμ του αγώνα και να μην το αφήσει ποτέ ξανά από τα χέρια του. Ο Γιάννης Αντετοκούνμπο (31 πόντοι από 9/18 δίποντα, 3/7 τρίποντα και 4/9 βολές) μάζεψε τα 17 από τα 47 ριμπάουντ της ομάδας του και είχε το 25% των ασίστ της, ενώ την ίδια ώρα ο Κρις Μίντλετον των 178 εκατομμυρίων δολαρίων έκλεινε τον αγώνα με 14 πόντους από 12 σουτ σε 31:15 συμμετοχής.
Ο ΑΓΩΝΑΣ
Αν και μπήκαν με το πόδι στο γκάζι, αν και προηγήθηκαν με έξι πολύ νωρίς (8-2), οι Μπακς δεν ήταν συνεπείς. Δέχθηκαν μέσα σε δύο λεπτά ένα επί μέρους 2-15 από τους Μάτζικ και βρέθηκαν στο -7 για να καλέψουν γρήγορα το πρώτο τους timeout και να ανασυνταχθούν. Οι πρώτες αλλαγές έδωσαν πνοή στα Ελάφια, με τα τρίποντα των Χιλ - Γουίλιαμς να ροκανίζουν τη διαφορά από τους δέκα στον ένα (19-20), χωρίς όμως κάτι περισσότερο. Η τρανζίσιον άμυνα των Μάτζικ ήταν άψογη, η κυκλοφορία της μπάλας το ίδιο και το 23-33 της πρώτης περιόδου ίσως και να κολάκευε την ομάδα του Μιλγουόκι που είχε συνολικά άσχημη εικόνα.
Ένα γκολ-φάουλ του Ρος (23-36) άνοιξε τη δεύτερη περίοδο, μια δεύτερη περίοδο που στο πρώτο μισό της εξελίχθηκε εφιαλτικά για τους Μπακς. Οι Μάτζικ, βλέπετε, πήγαν ακόμη και στο +18 (33-51), με τους αντιπάλους τους να μη μπορούν να κάνουν ακόμη και βασικά πράγματα στο παρκέ. Η επιστροφή του Αντετοκούνμπο, ένα δικό του σουτάκι από μέση απόσταση και μια ασίστ σε τρίποντο του Μάθιους έκοψαν τη φόρα της ομάδας του Ορλάντο (38-51), με τον Greek Freak να κουβαλάει την ομάδα του και ένα σερί 10-0 να μαζεύει το σκορ, όχι όμως σε πολύ σημαντικό βαθμό με αποτέλεσμα το 52-62 του ημιχρόνου που έδειχνε έναν (Γιάννη) να παλεύει με όλους.
Με τον Αντετοκούνμπο οδοστρωτήρα και τον Μπλέντσο πιο επιθετικό, οι Μπακς μπήκαν στην τρίτη περίοδο με ένα πολύ γρήγορο 9-2 σε δύο λεπτά, για να μαζέψουν τη διαφορά στους τρεις (61-64) και να πιστέψουν περισσότερο στις δυνάμεις τους. O Βούτσεβιτς ήταν όμως ασταμάτητος και μαζί με τον Φουλτζ κράτησε τους Μάτζικ σε μια απόσταση (70-78), την ώρα που ο Γιάννης εκνευριζόταν με τους διαιτητές, δεν έβρισκε στηρίγματα και δεν πίστευε στα μάτια του με αυτά που έβλεπε γύρω του. Το 79-92 μπορούσε να ανατραπεί, ένα ξέσπασμα χρειάζονται τα Ελάφια, μπήκαν στην τέταρτη περίοδο με τετράποντο του Κόρβερ για το 83-92 αλλά δεν είχαν πολλά περισσότερα να δώσουν.
Η άμυνα βελτιώθηκε, η διαφορά έπεσε στους έξι (93-99), εκεί όμως ο Μπλέντσο κι ο Μπρουκ Λόπεζ έβρισκαν συνεχώς σίδερο, με τους Ρος - Όγκουστιν να αρπάζουν την ευκαιρία για να γράψουν το 93-104 που έδωσε πια ξεκάθαρο προβάδισμα στην ομάδα τους και δεν επέτρεψε στους Μπακς να διεκδικήσουν κάτι περισσότερο. Δεν είχαν τις δυνάμεις να το κάνουν, ο Φουρνιέ βρήκε στόχο ξανά και ξανά και η σεμνή τελετή έλαβε τέλος.
