Maria Sakkari prevailed 6-1, 6 over Coco Gauf in her premiere and continues in the 2nd round of the Western and Southern Open.

Performing fantastic tennis, Maria Sakkari prevailed 6-1, 6-3 over Coco Gauf in the first round of the Western and Southern Open in New York and qualified for the "32".

The Greek, No. 13 on the board, left no room for her 16-year-old opponent and will wait on Sunday for Zhang's match with Putintseva to find out her opponent.

The aces were 4-3 for Maria and the double errors 4-4. Sakkari won 56 against 41 points and the break points were 4/6 and 0/1.

With pressed ... accelerator!

Maria Sakkari will start fantastically in the game. With a break in the 2nd game it will reach 2-0 and despite the pressure it received it reached 3-0!

Gauf will reduce to 3-1 but Sakkari will not leave her room and will reach 4-1! The fantastic Maria Sakkari wins with a break the 6th (5-1) and in 25 'will win the set 6-1. Sakkari had 2/4 break points and Gauf had 0/0!

Greek language lessons...

The American will win without loss the 1st game (0-1) in the 2nd set. Gauf will reach its 1st break point but Sakkari will "erase" it for 1-1.

With a break, Sakkari will make it 2-1 and with fantastic blows it will reach 3-1! The American will reduce to 3-2 but Maria will calmly increase the difference (4-2).

Gauf will reduce to 4-3 but Sakkari will make it 5-3 and with a break will prevail with 2-0 sets at 1.05!

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη επικράτησε με 6-1, 6  της Κόκο Γκάουφ στην πρεμιέρα της και συνεχίζει στον 2ο γύρο του Western and Southern Open. 

Αποδίδοντας φανταστικό τένις η Μαρία Σάκκαρη επικράτησε με 6-1, 6-3 της Κόκο Γκάουφ στον 1ο γύρο του Western and Southern Open στη Νέα Υόρκη και προκρίθηκε στους "32". 

Η Ελληνίδα, Νο13 του ταμπλό, δεν άφησε κανένα περιθώριο στη 16χρονη αντίπαλο της και θα περιμένει την Κυριακή τον αγώνα της Ζανγκ με την Πουτίντσεβα για να μάθει την αντίπαλο της. 

Οι άσοι ήταν 4-3 για την Μαρία και τα διπλά λάθη 4-4. Η Σάκκαρη κέρδισε 56 έναντι 41 πόντους και τα μπρέικ πόιντ ήταν 4/6 και 0/1.

Με πατημένο...γκάζι! 

Η Μαρία Σάκκαρη θα ξεκινήσει φανταστικά στο παιχνίδι. Με μπρέικ στο 2ο γκέιμ θα φτάσει στο 2-0 και παρά την πίεση που δέχτηκε έφτασε στο 3-0! 

Η Γκάουφ θα μειώσει σε 3-1 αλλά η Σάκκαρη δεν θα της αφήσει περιθώρια και θα φτάσει στο 4-1!  Η φανταστική Μαρία Σάκκαρη κερδίζει με μπρέικ το 6ο (5-1) και σε 25' θα κατακτήσει το σετ με 6-1.  Η Σάκκαρη είχε 2/4 μπρέικ πόιντ και η Γκάουφ είχε 0/0! 

Μάθημα ελληνικών...

Η Αμερικανίδα θα κερδίσει χωρίς απώλεια το 1ο γκέιμ (0-1) στο 2ο σετ. Η Γκάουφ θα φτάσει στο 1ο της μπρέικ ποιντ αλλά η Σάκκαρη θα το "σβήσει" για το 1-1. 

Με μπρέικ η Σάκκαρη θα κάνει το 2-1 και με φανταστικά χτυπήματα θα φτάσει στο 3-1!  Η Αμερικανίδα θα μειώσει σε 3-2 αλλά η Μαρία με ψυχραιμία θα αυξήσει τη διαφορά (4-2). 

Η Γκάουφ θα μειώσει σε 4-3 αλλά η Σάκκαρη θα κάνει το 5-3 και με μπρέικ θα επικρατήσει με 2-0 σετ σε 1.05!
