The discussions of the Greek side with UEFA on the possibility of holding the Final 8 of the Europa League in Athens are at an early stage.


The championships of most countries may have entered the process of returning to action - in others the date has been announced, in others it will take place in the last days of May, while there are also those (France, Netherlands, Cyprus, Belgium, Scotland) that have put an end to it prematurely - however this has not been delimited in time for European events.

The possibility of holding the Final 8 of the Europa League due to the pressure arising from the calendar and in order to shorten the current season to start the next one is a scenario that is being considered.

Discussions have taken place between the Greek side and the European federation in the context of the parties' discussions on the EPO elections. As part of these discussions, the Greek side came up with the idea of ​​holding the Final 8 in Athens.

The reasoning is left to the treatment of the colon by our country, but also to the small number of cases compared to other European countries. It is worth noting that these discussions are at an early stage.

No proposal has been submitted yet. In any case, the European federation has not yet made a decision on the format with which the European season will end. In the second class of the inter-club competition of the Old Epirus, Olympiacos participates.

Σε πρώιμο στάδιο βρίσκονται οι συζητήσεις της ελληνικής πλευράς με την UEFA για την πιθανότητα να διεξαχθεί Final 8 του Europa League στην Αθήνα.

Μπορεί τα πρωταθλήματα των περισσοτέρων χωρών να έχουν μπει σε διαδικασία επιστροφής στη δράση - σε άλλα έχει ανακοινωθεί η ημερομηνία, σε άλλα αυτό θα γίνει τις τελευταίες ημέρες του Μαΐου, ενώ υπάρχουν κι αυτά (Γαλλία, Ολλανδία, Κύπρος, Βέλγιο, Σκωτία) που έχουν βάλει πρόωρο τέλος - ωστόσο αυτή δεν έχει οριοθετηθεί χρονικά για τις ευρωπαϊκές διοργανώσεις.

Το ενδεχόμενο να διεξαχθεί Final 8 του Europa League λόγω της πίεσης που απορρέει από το καλεντάρι και προκειμένου να συντμηθεί η τρέχουσα σεζόν για να ξεκινήσει η επόμενη είναι ένα σενάριο που εξετάζεται.

Έχουν γίνει συζητήσεις ανάμεσα στην ελληνική πλευρά και την ευρωπαϊκή ομοσπονδία  στο πλαίσιο των συζητήσεων των πλευρών για τις εκλογές στην ΕΠΟ. Στο πλαίσιο αυτών των συζητήσεων έπεσε η ιδέα από την ελληνική πλευρά να διεξαχθεί το Final 8 στην Αθήνα.

Το σκεπτικό επαφίεται στην αντιμετώπιση του κορονοϊού από τη χώρα μας, αλλά και στο μικρό αριθμό κρουσμάτων σε σχέση με τις υπόλοιπες ευρωπαϊκές χώρες. Αξίζει, δε, να τονιστεί ότι οι συζητήσεις αυτές βρίσκονται σε πρώιμο στάδιο.

Δεν έχει ακόμη κατατεθεί πρόταση. Έτσι κι αλλιώς η ευρωπαϊκή ομοσπονδία ακόμη δεν έχει λάβει απόφαση για το φορμάτ, με το οποίο θα ολοκληρωθεί η ευρωπαϊκή σεζόν. Στη δεύτερη τη τάξει διασυλλογική διοργάνωσης της Γηραιάς Ηπείρου συμμετέχει ο Ολυμπιακός.

Οι ερυθρόλευκοι στο πρώτο ματς των 16 του Europa League αναδείχθηκαν ισόπαλοι 1-1 με τη Γουλβς στο Γ. Καραϊσκάκης, ενώ φυσικά οι εξελίξεις με τον ιό πρόλαβαν και τη ρεβάνς επί αγγλικού εδάφους.
