Not only English but global. Now it may have been two years and a few months and the Italian is a past of the "King Power Stadium" as he was fired in the next season after the championship, but the fans do not forget.
Indeed, a wave of online applications has begun to spread over a period of 24 hours, asking the Leicester administration to meet the popular demand and build a statue in honor of Claudio Ranieri.

Ο Κλάουντιο Ρανιέρι οδήγησε την Λέστερ στη μεγαλύτερη στιγμή στην ιστορία της το 2016 και οι οπαδοί των "αλεπούδων" όχι μόνο δεν ξεχνούν αλλά θέλουν να ανταμείψουν το Ιταλό με τρόπο μοναδικό!
Μέχρι και πριν λίγα χρόνια στο άκουσμα της Λέστερ οι Έλληνες φίλαθλοι θα έφερναν στο μυαλό τους τον Θοδωρή Ζαγοράκη και τον Νίκο Νταμπίζα που φόρεσαν τη μπλε φανέλα και έπαιξαν στο "Φλίμπερ Στριτ", ο πρώτος από το 1998 ως το 2000 και ο δεύτερος τη σεζόν 2004-05.
Εδώ και δύο χρόνια όμως οι "αλεπούδες" άλλαξαν την ιστορία τους και από εκεί που δεν είχαν να επιδείξουν κάποιον τίτλο, τώρα μπορούν να καμαρώνουν για το θαύμα των... θαυμάτων που πέτυχαν απέναντι στα μεγαθήρια και την κατάκτηση του τίτλου της Premier League τη σεζόν 2015-16.
Φυσικά, πρωτομάστορας αυτής της επιτυχίας δεν ήταν άλλος από τον Κλάουντιο Ρανιέρι, με τον Ιταλό να αναλαμβάνει μία ομάδα που ήταν φαβορί για υποβιβασμό και να την οδηγεί στον θρίαμβο (αμέσως μετά την αποτυχία του με την εθνική Ελλάδας) για να γράψει το όνομά του με χρυσά γράμματα στα βιβλία της ποδοσφαιρικής ιστορίας.
Όχι μόνο της αγγλικής αλλά της παγκόσμιας. Τώρα, μπορεί να έχουν περάσει 2 χρόνια και κάτι μήνες και ο Ιταλός να αποτελεί παρελθόν από το "King Power Stadium" καθώς απολύθηκε μεσούσης της επόμενης σεζόν μετά το πρωτάθλημα, ωστόσο οι οπαδοί δεν ξεχνούν.
Μάλιστα εδώ και λίγα 24ωρα έχει αρχίσει να εξαπλώνεται ένα κύμα διαδικτυακών αιτήσεων που ζητούν από τη διοίκηση της Λέστερ να ικανοποιήσει το λαϊκό αίτημα και να φτιάξει στο εσωτερικό του γηπέδου ένα άγαλμα προς τιμήν του Κλάουντιο Ρανιέρι.
Είτε μόνος του είτε μαζι με τον Γουές Μόργκαν, τον αρχηγό της ομάδας, ο οποίος μαζί με τον Ρανιέρι σήκωσε πρώτος το βαρύτιμο τρόπαιο δίνοντας έναυσμα για ξέφρενους πανηγυρισμούς σε μία ολόκληρη πόλη!
Το αν πάντως η διοίκηση κάνει πράξη το αίτημά τους είναι άλλο θέμα. Αρκεί να θυμηθεί κανείς τα πρόσφατα λόγια του Ιταλού κατά τη διάρκεια τηλεοπτικής παρουσίας του στο "Sky Sports", όπου παραδέχτηκε πως δεν του έχει δοθεί η ευκαιρία να χαιρετίσει τους οπαδούς της ομάδας.
"Δεν ξέρω πότε θα γίνει αυτό. Εάν δεν με καλέσει η διοίκηση, δεν μπορώ να γυρίσω πίσω. Θα ήθελα να γυρίσω πίσω αλλά δεν είναι επιλογή μου", είχε δηλώσει με νόημα.
