Andreas Christensen was extremely unlucky during Saturday's (20/12) training session with Barcelona, as he suffered a partial rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
The Dane, according to the team's medical statement, immediately underwent the necessary tests, which confirmed the severity of his injury. However, he was spared the worst as it was not a complete rupture.
After the medical evaluation, the medical team decided to follow conservative treatment in his case, without judging that surgery is necessary at this stage. The course of his recovery will also determine the length of his absence from competitive obligations, as the Catalans announced.

Η Μπαρτσελόνα ανακοίνωσε ότι ο Αντρέας Κρίστενσεν υπέστη μερική ρήξη πρόσθιου χιαστού κατά τη διάρκεια της προπόνησης.
Ο Αντρέας Κρίστενσεν στάθηκε εξιαρετικά άτυχος στη διάρκεια της προπόνησης του Σαββάτου (20/12) με την Μπαρτσελόνα, καθώς υπέστη μερική ρήξη πρόσθιου χιαστού συνδέσμου στο αριστερό του γόνατο.
Ο Δανός, σύμφωνα με το ιατρικό ανακοινωθέν της ομάδας, υποβλήθηκε άμεσα στις απαραίτητες εξετάσεις, οι οποίες επιβεβαίωσαν τη σοβαρότητα του τραυματισμού του. Γλίτωσε, ωστόσο, τα χειρότερα καθώς δεν πρόκειται για ολική ρήξη.
Μετά την ιατρική αξιολόγηση, το ιατρικό τιμ αποφάσισε να ακολουθηθεί συντηρητική αγωγή στην περίπτωσή του, χωρίς να κρίνει ότι χρειάζεται χειρουργική επέμβαση σε αυτή τη φάση. Η πορεία της αποκατάστασης θα κρίνει και το χρονικό διάστημα της απουσίας του από τις αγωνιστικές υποχρεώσεις, όπως έκαναν γνωστό οι Καταλανοί.
