AEK defeated Aris Betsson 82-76 in a thrilling derby of the 12th round of the Stoiximan GBL. The home team led five times by 8 points, with Milistic's players returning four of them.

In a match that flatters Stoiximan GBL, AEK defeated Aris Betsson 82-76. The guests were seven-hearted and returned after every outburst of the home team except the last one.

With this victory, Sakota's team reaches 7-4 and consolidates itself in 4th place, while the Thessaloniki team remains fifth, but with two fewer wins (5-6).

The match

The home team entered the match better, they were very good in defense and taking advantage of their opponents' mistakes to reach 16-8 midway through the first period. Milisic's players reacted by starting from defense as well, starting with a stop by Enoch on Silva and tied the score at 18-18 before the end of the first quarter.

In the second period, the derby continued. Aris even took the lead (19-20), with the home team escaping again and with two three-pointers by Flionis in 90″ they stayed ahead, despite the guests' counterattack, going to the locker room with 37-36.

In the second half, Sakota's players managed to take a 7-point lead (48-41), and later an 8-point lead (58-50), but as in previous times, the visitors came back with the fourth quarter starting at 62-60.

Once again, AEK built a 7-point lead (67-60) at the start of the final quarter, with Milisic's players not only coming back again, but also taking the lead at 68-69. This was the visitors' first lead after 19-20 at the start of the second period.

It was the home team's turn to react, and they did. Running on an 8-0 run, they reached 76-69 entering the final 2 minutes, with Aris Betsson missing his chances to respond.

Η ΑΕΚ επικράτησε του Άρη Betsson με 82-76 σε ένα συγκλονιστικό ντέρμπι της 12ης αγωνιστικής της Stoiximan GBL. Οι γηπεδούχοι προηγήθηκαν πέντε φορές με 8 πόντους, με τους παίκτες του Μίλιστιτς να επιστρέφουν τέσσερις από αυτές.

Σε μία αναμέτρηση που κολακεύει τη Stoiximan GBL η ΑΕΚ επικράτησε του Άρη Betsson με 82-76. Οι φιλοξενούμενοι ήταν επτάψυχοι και επέστρεψαν μετά από κάθε ξέσπασμα των γηπεδούχων πλην του τελευταίου.

Με αυτή τη νίκη η ομάδα του Σάκοτα φτάνει το 7-4 και εδραιώνεται στην 4η θέση, ενώ οι Θεσσαλονικείς μένουν πέμπτοι, αλλά με δύο νίκες λιγότερες (5-6).

Ο αγώνας

Οι γηπεδούχοι μπήκαν καλύτερα στην αναμέτρηση, ήταν πολύ καλοί στην άμυνα και εκμεταλλευόμενοι τα λάθη των αντιπάλων τους έφτασαν στο 16-8 στα μέσα της πρώτης περιόδου. Οι παίκτες του Μίλισιτς αντέδρασαν ξεκινώντας και εκείνοι από την άμυνα, με αφετηρία ένα στοπ του Ίνοχ στον Σίλβα και ισοφάρισαν σε 18-18 πριν τη λήξη του πρώτου δεκαλέπτου.

Στη δεύτερη περίοδο το ντέρμπι συνεχίστηκε. Ο Άρης βρήκε μάλιστα και προβάδισμα (19-20), με τους γηπεδούχους να ξεφεύγουν ξανά και με δύο τρίποντα του Φλιώνη σε 90″ κρατήθηκαν μπροστά, παρά την αντεπίθεση των φιλοξενούμενων, πηγαίνοντας στα αποδυτήρια με 37-36.

Στην επανάληψη οι παίκτες του Σάκοτα κατάφεραν να προηγηθούν με 7 πόντους (48-41), αλλά και αργότερα με 8 (58-50), όμως όπως και τις προηγούμενες φορές οι φιλοξενούμενοι επέστρεψαν με την τέταρτη περίοδο να ξεκινάει από το 62-60.

Για μία φορά ακόμη η ΑΕΚ έχτισε διαφορά 7 πόντων (67-60) στην αρχή του τελευταίου δεκαλέπτου, με τους παίκτες του Μίλισιτς, όχι απλά να επιστρέφουν και πάλι, αλλά να περνάνε μπροστά με 68-69. Αυτό ήταν το πρώτο προβάδισμα των φιλοξενούμενων μετά το 19-20 στις αρχές της δεύτερης περιόδου.

Ήταν η σειρά των γηπεδούχων να αντιδράσουν και το έκαναν. Τρέχοντας σερί 8-0 έφτασαν στο 76-69 μπαίνοντας στα 2 τελευταία λεπτά με τον Άρη Betsson να χάνει τις ευκαιρίες του να απαντήσει.
