A Completely Different Situation: AEK found themselves losing 0-2 to Craiova, but with an unthinkable comeback and 2 goals in injury time they got an incredible victory (3-2), finishing 3rd in the League Phase of the Conference and advancing directly to the "16"! At the same time, they eliminated the Romanians who fell 25th.

The decibels in the "OPAP Arena" fluctuated at high levels from the beginning, as 30 thousand+ "yellow and black" fans closed Nea Filadelfia for the great match. With their own energy, AEK entered... furious and in the 3rd minute Koita got the "rebound" from Marin's effort, but his shot stopped on the post! In the 10th minute, Mandalos "served" for Vida, but his close header went wide. Pineda caught a "full shot", but the counterattack sent the ball to the top of Isenko's net in the 19th minute. The Romanians were solid and waited for their moment in the space, but after the 20th minute they took possession and controlled the situation.

Craiova's... warning came in the 26th minute, when Strakosha had difficulty stopping Etim's shot, while Relvas made the pass to Al Hamlawi before he could execute! Four minutes later (30'), the visitors built another nice attack and took the lead in a similar situation that started with a wrong control by Pineda on the edge of the area, another "stop" by Strakosha on Etim, but the ball reached Bayaram who scored from a wide position for 0-1 despite Strakosha's contact.

AEK tried to react, but Pereira and Jovic's shots were stopped by bodies in the 35th minute, while they saw Al Hamlawi take the header alone that went out in the 38th minute. At the same time, Isenko was ready for Marin's passes from set pieces. The half could have ended with another goal, with Enosias coming close to equalizing on a header by Jovic that Isenko cleared on the line in the 45th minute, while two minutes later (45+2') Telles' one-sided volley went just wide of the goal!

Returning from the locker room, the two teams offered excitement, with Marko Nikolic's team feeling nervous, which was evident in Jovic's finish, from a favorable position, in the 47th minute. The Serbian striker did not score even in the 51st minute, when he headed the ball over the goal after a free kick by Pereira. Just as the Union was approaching 1-1, Craiova "unfolded" exceptionally, after Mandalos lost possession outside the Romanian area, Tsikaldau took the counterattack and with a powerful shot wrote 0-2 in the 59th minute, "freezing" New Philadelphia.

Marko Nikolic immediately mobilized Eliasson-Kutesa and through the static phases was lurking for the... come back. Vida was literally everywhere and a target in the executions of the "yellow and black", as in the 65th minute after Marin's corner to reduce to 1-2 with a header, beating two opponents high and Isenko. The AEK captain gave the impetus, and so did the crowd, but the Romanians showed that they could hold on, while in the 81st minute they deliberately caused a short break with skirmishes, breaking the rhythm. Teles and Kutesa saw a card for this, Vida took the header that Isenko blocked in the 85th minute and the eight minutes of injury time "broke hearts"!

The Union had a "chattering" possession, but found the equalizer in the last minute of extra time after Eliasson's cross and Kutesa's nail-biting header for 2-2! "Explosion" on the field, extra time to play, a corner kick from Kutesa and the emotional Vida won a penalty that VAR indicated to the Georgian referee in the 11th minute! Jovic took the shot, sent the ball to the other side and 3-2 AEK to... heaven, as in a short time they climbed from 9th to 8th and finally to 3rd place and directly to the "16" of the Conference League!

Άλλη Εντελώς Κατάσταση: η ΑΕΚ βρέθηκε να χάνει 0-2 από την Κραϊόβα, όμως με ένα αδιανόητο comeback και 2 γκολ στις καθυστερήσεις πήρε ασύλληπτη νίκη (3-2), τερματίζοντας 3η στη League Phase του Conference και περνώντας απευθείας στους «16»! Παράλληλα, απέκλεισε τους Ρουμάνους που έπεσαν 25οι.

Τα ντεσιμπέλ στην «OPAP Arena» κυμάνθηκαν σε υψηλά επίπεδα εξαρχής, καθώς 30 χιλιάδες+ «κιτρινόμαυροι» κατέκλεισαν τη Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια για την σπουδαία αναμέτρηση. Με τη δική τους ενέργεια, η ΑΕΚ μπήκε... φουριόζα και στο 3' ο Κοϊτά πήρε το «ριμπάουντ» στην προσπάθεια του Μαρίν, όμως το σουτ του σταμάτησε στο δοκάρι! Στο 10' ο Μάνταλος «σέρβιρε» για τον Βίντα, όμως η κοντινή του κεφαλιά πέρασε δίπλα από την εστία. Ο Πινέδα έπιασε ένα «γεμάτο σουτ», αλλά η κόντρα έστειλε την μπάλα στο πάνω μέρος των διχτύων του Ισένκο στο 19'. Οι Ρουμάνοι ήταν συμπαγείς και περίμεναν την στιγμή τους στο χώρο, όμως μετά το 20' πήραν την κατοχή και ήλεγχαν τις καταστάσεις.

Η... προειδοποίηση της Κραϊόβα ήλθε στο 26', όταν ο Στρακόσα σταμάτησε δύσκολα το σουτ του Ετίμ, ενώ ο Ρέλβας έκανε την προβολή στον Αλ Χαμλαουί προτού εκτελέσει! Τέσσερα λεπτά μετά (30'), οι φιλοξενούμενοι έχτισαν ακόμα μια ωραία επίθεση και προηγήθηκαν σε μια παρόμοια συνθήκη που ξεκίνησε από λάθος κοντρόλ του Πινέδα στα όρια της περιοχής, νέο «στοπ» του Στρακόσα στον Ετίμ, αλλά η μπάλα έφθασε στον Μπαϊαράμ που πλάσαρε από πλάγια θέση για το 0-1 παρά την επαφή του Στρακόσα.

Η ΑΕΚ προσπάθησε να αντιδράσει, όμως τα σουτ των Περέιρα και Γιόβιτς σταμάτησαν σε σώματα στο 35', ενώ είδαν τον Αλ Χαμλαουί να παίρνει μόνος την κεφαλιά που έφυγε άουτ στο 38'. Παράλληλα ο Ισένκο ήταν έτοιμος στα γεμίσματα του Μαρίν από στατικές φάσεις. Το ημίχρονο θα μπορούσε να κλείσει με ακόμα ένα γκολ, με την Ένωση να φθάνει κοντά στην ισοφάριση σε κεφαλιά του Γιόβιτς που έβγαλε στη γραμμή ο Ισένκο στο 45', ενώ δυο λεπτά αργότερα (45+2') το μονοκόμματο βολέ του Τέλες πέρασε ξυστά από την εστία!

Επιστρέφοντας από τα αποδυτήρια, οι δυο ομάδες προσέφεραν συγκινήσεις, με την ομάδα του Μάρκο Νίκολιτς να έχει το άγχος, κάτι που φάνηκε στο τελείωμα του Γιόβιτς, από ευνοϊκή θέση, στο 47'. Ο Σέρβος επιθετικός δεν σκόραρε ούτε στο 51', όταν με κεφαλιά «ψαράκι» έστειλε την μπάλα πάνω από την εστία σε εκτέλεση φάουλ του Περέιρα. Πάνω που η Ένωση πλησίαζε στο 1-1, η Κραϊόβα «ξεδιπλώθηκε» εξαιρετικά, αφού έχασε την κατοχή ο Μάνταλος έξω από τη ρουμάνικη περιοχή, ο Τσικαλντάου πήρε την κόντρα και με δυνατό σουτ έγραψε το 0-2 στο 59', «παγώνοντας» τη Νέα Φιλαδέλφεια. 

Ο Μάρκο Νίκολιτς επιστράτευσε άμεσα τους Ελίασον-Κουτέσα και μέσω των στατικών φάσεων καραδοκούσε για το... come back. Ο Βίντα ήταν κυριολεκτικά παντού και στόχος στις εκτελέσεις των «κιτρινόμαυρων», όπως στο 65' έπειτα από το κόρνερ του Μαρίν για να μειώσει σε 1-2 με κεφαλιά, νικώντας δυο αντιπάλους ψηλά και τον Ισένκο. Ο αρχηγός της ΑΕΚ έδωσε το έναυσμα, μαζί και ο κόσμος, όμως οι Ρουμάνοι έδειχναν ότι αντέχουν, ενώ στο 81' προκάλεσαν εσκεμμένα μια μικρή διακοπή με αψιμαχίες, σπάζοντας τον ρυθμό. Οι Τέλες και Κουτέσα είδαν από μία κάρτα γι' αυτό, ο Βίντα πήρε την κεφαλιά που μπλόκαρε ο Ισένκο στο 85' και τα οκτώ λεπτά των καθυστερήσεων «έσπασαν καρδιές»! 

Η Ένωση είχε μια «φλύαρη» κατοχή, όμως βρήκε την ισοφάριση στο τελευταίο λεπτό του έξτρα χρόνου ύστερα από τη σέντρα του Ελίασον και την καρφωτή κεφαλιά του Κουτέσα για το 2-2! «Έκρηξη» στο γήπεδο, παραπάνω χρόνος για παιχνίδι, κόρνερ από τον Κουτέσα και ο συγκινητικός Βίντα κέρδισε πέναλτι που υπέδειξε το VAR στον Γεωργιανό διαιτητή στο 11ο λεπτό! Ο Γιόβιτς ανέλαβε την εκτέλεση, έστειλε την μπάλα στην άλλη πλευρά και το 3-2 την ΑΕΚ στα... ουράνια, καθώς σε μικρό διάστημα ανέβηκε από την 9η στην 8η και τελικά στην 3η θέση και απευθείας στους «16» του Conference League!
