Kostas Gontikas is officially a Panionios player.

The Neosmyrniotes announced the agreement with the 31-year-old ace who, before starting his professional career, was a member of the New York Violets team in the third division of the NCAA.

The announcement in detail:

KAE PANIONIOS COSMORAMA announces that the athlete Kostas Gontikas is joining the team's dynamic team.

Kostas Gontikas was born on March 15, 1994 and is 2.06 meters tall. Before starting his professional career, he played in the third division of the NCAA with the New York Violets.

In the summer of 2016, he joined Panathinaikos with whom he won the championship and the Greek Cup that season. The following season he played for Apollon Patras in the A2 category (12.6 points - 6.7 rebounds) and in the 2018-2019 season he returned to the GBL with the jersey of Hephaestus Limnos (3.3 points - 2 rebounds).

Peristeri was the next stop in his career (2.8 points- 1.2 rebounds) followed by AEK (4.1 points- 2.4 rebounds), Ionian Nice (9.1 points- 5.9 rebounds), the Romanian Pitesti (11 points- 4.5 rebounds), AEK again (5 points- 1.7 rebounds), Karditsa (4 points- 3.2 rebounds) and Kolossos Rodou (3.1 points- 2.8 rebounds). In the last two seasons he played in Lavrio (7.6 points- 3.6 rebounds in the 2023-2024 season and 6.7 points- 3.9 rebounds in the 2024-2025 season).

He started the current season in Iceland, specifically in Thor Thorlakshofn, where in 5 games he averaged 14 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists.

He has played with the Men's National Team in the 2023 World Cup qualifiers while he was a member of the U18 and U20 National Teams.

Οι Νεοσμυρνιώτες ανακοίνωσαν την συμφωνία με τον 31χρονο άσο ο οποίος, πριν ξεκινήσει την επαγγελματική του καριέρα ήταν μέλος της ομάδας New York Violets στην τρίτη κατηγορία του NCAA.

Η ΚΑΕ ΠΑΝΙΩΝΙΟΣ COSMORAMA ανακοινώνει ότι ο αθλητής Κώστας Γόντικας εντάσσεται στο έμψυχο δυναμικό της ομάδας.

Ο Κώστας Γόντικας γεννήθηκε στις 15 Μαρτίου 1994 κι έχει ύψος 2,06 μέτρα. Πριν αρχίσει την επαγγελματική του καριέρα αγωνίστηκε στην 3η κατηγορία του NCAA με τους New York Violets.

Το καλοκαίρι του 2016 εντάχθηκε στον Παναθηναϊκό με τον οποίο κατέκτησε το πρωτάθλημα και το Κύπελλο Ελλάδας εκείνη τη σεζόν. Την επόμενη σεζόν αγωνίστηκε στον Απόλλωνα Πάτρας στην Α2 κατηγορία (12,6 πόντοι- 6,7 ριμπάουντ) και την περίοδο 2018-2019 επέστρεψε στην GBL με τη φανέλα του Ηφαίστου Λήμνου (3,3 πόντοι- 2 ριμπάουντ).

Το Περιστέρι ήταν ο επόμενος σταθμός της καριέρας του (2,8 πόντοι- 1,2 ριμπάουντ) ενώ ακολούθησαν οι ΑΕΚ (4,1 πόντοι- 2,4 ριμπάουντ), ο Ιωνικός Νίκαιας (9,1 πόντοι- 5,9 ριμπάουντ), η ρουμανική Pitesti (11 πόντοι- 4,5 ριμπάουντ), ξανά η ΑΕΚ (5 πόντοι- 1,7 ριμπάουντ), η Καρδίτσα (4 πόντοι- 3,2 ριμπάουντ) ο Κολοσσός Ρόδου (3,1 πόντοι- 2,8 ριμπάουντ).

Τις τελευταίες δύο σεζόν αγωνίστηκε στο Λαύριο (7,6 πόντοι- 3,6 ριμπάουντ την περίοδο 2023-2024 και 6,7 πόντοι- 3,9 ριμπάουντ την περίοδο 2024-2025).

Την τρέχουσα αγωνιστική περίοδο άρχισε στην Ισλανδία και συγκεκριμένα στην Thor Thorlakshofn όπου σε 5 αγώνες είχε κατά μέσο όρο 14 πόντους- 5,6 ριμπάουντ και 2,2 ασίστ.

Έχει αγωνιστεί με την Εθνική Ανδρών στα προκριματικά του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου 2023 ενώ ήταν μέλος των Εθνικών ομάδων U18 και U20.
