Panathinaikos - ZAON 3-2

Panathinaikos prevailed with a 3-2 set over ZAON, at the Mets indoor stadium, for the 5th matchday of the Women's Volley League.

Panathinaikos had a hard time against the tough ZAON, however, they got 2 points, winning with a 3-2 set and keeping their undefeated streak 1 week before the derby, against PAOK.

The "green" team was superior in the first set, after going up +3 (10-7) early on, the visitors reduced to 1 (10-9), but the home team regained the difference to +5 (15-10). Then they did not face any problems, winning the set with 25-16.

In the second set, ZAON was ahead in the score, having a 2-point lead until 12-14. At that point, the "clover" stepped on the gas, scoring 4 unanswered points (16-14). It did not stop there as they increased their advantage to +7 (23-16), making it 2-0 in the sets with 25-21.

From that point on, Charalambos Mytskidis' team found several solutions in attack and defense, imposing its rhythm. Specifically, in the third set, they started with a small lead (1-4), the home team overturned it to 8-7, but this did not deter the guests as they made a 1-6 run, going to +4 (9-13), they expanded it to +7 (12-19) and reduced it in the sets with 18-25.

In the fourth set, ZAON was in control from the start (3-7). They took a significant lead of 5 (7-12) and at a crucial point they increased it to 9 (10-19), the "greens" reduced it to four (19-23), but ZAON equalized in the sets (19-25).

In the tie break, Panathinaikos did not want to leave any margin and take the 2 points. For this reason, they entered dynamically (3-0), the team from Kifissia made it 5-4, but the "clover" with a point from Bennett went to +5 (13-8) and took the set with 15-11. In the next matchday, the "greens" welcome PAOK. ZAON will face Milonas at home.

*** Παναθηναϊκός - ΖΑΟΝ 3-2

Ο Παναθηναϊκός επικράτησε με 3-2 σετ του ΖΑΟΝ, στο κλειστό του Μετς, για την 5η αγωνιστική της Volley League γυναικών.

Ο Παναθηναϊκός δυσκολεύτηκε αρκετά κόντρα στον σκληροτράχηλο ΖΑΟΝ, ωστόσο πήρε 2 πόντους, νικώντας με 3-2 σετ και κρατώντας το αήττητο σερί του 1 εβδομάδα πριν το ντέρμπι, κόντρα στον ΠΑΟΚ.

Ανώτερες οι «πράσινες» στο πρώτο σετ, αφού πήγαν από νωρίς στο +3 (10-7), οι φιλοξενούμενες μείωσαν στον 1 (10-9), όμως οι γηπεδούχες ανέκτησαν εκ νέου την διαφορά στο +5 (15-10). Ύστερα δεν αντιμετώπισαν κανένα πρόβλημα κατακτώντας το σετ με 25-16. 

Στο δεύτερο σετ ο ΖΑΟΝ ήταν μπροστά στο σκορ, έχοντας ένα προβάδισμα 2 πόντων μέχρι το 12-14. Σε εκείνο το σημείο το «τριφύλλι».. πάτησε το γκάζι πετυχαίνοντας 4 αναπάντητους πόντους (16-14). Δεν σταμάτησε εκεί καθώς ανέβασαν το υπέρ τους σκορ στο +7 (23-16), κάνοντας το 2-0 στα σετ με 25-21.

Από εκείνο το σημείο η ομάδα του Χαράλαμπου Μυτσκίδη βρήκε αρκετές λύσεις σε επίθεση και άμυνα, επιβάλλοντας τον ρυθμό της. Συγκεκριμένα στο τρίτο σετ ξεκίνησε με ένα μικρό προβάδισμα (1-4), οι γηπεδούχες το ανέτρεψαν σε 8-7, αλλά αυτό δεν πτόησε τις φιλοξενούμενες καθώς έκαναν σερί 1-6, πηγαίνοντας στο +4 (9-13), το διεύρυναν στο +7 (12-19) και μείωσαν στα σετ με 18-25.

Στο τέταρτο σετ ο ΖΑΟΝ είχε εξ' αρχής τον έλεγχο (3-7). Πήρε σημαντική διαφορά στους 5 (7-12) και σε κρίσιμο σημείο το ανέβασαν στους 9 (10-19), οι «πράσινες» μείωσαν στους τέσσερις (19-23), αλλά ο ΖΑΟΝ ισοφάρισε στα σετ (19-25). 

Στο tie break ο Παναθηναϊκός δεν ήθελε να αφήσει κάποιο περιθώριο και να πάρει τους 2 βαθμούς. Γι' αυτό το λόγο, μπήκε δυναμικά (3-0), η ομάδα από την Κηφισιά έκανε το 5-4, αλλά το «τριφύλλι» με πόντο της Μπένετ πήγε στο +5 (13-8) και πήρε το σετ με 15-11. Την επόμενη αγωνιστική οι «πράσινες» υποδέχονται τον ΠΑΟΚ. Ο ΖΑΟΝ θα αντιμετωπίσει εντός έδρας τον Μίλωνα.
