Baskonia got its first win of the season after defeating Dubai BC 92-85. Great performance by Hamidou Diallo, but also by Luabou-Cabarro who scored 22 points in the 2nd half.

Baskonia achieved its first win of the season, after defeating Dubai BC 92-85 for the 7th round of the Euroleague.

Hamidou Diallo was great for the hosts with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists, but the greatest of all for another night was Timothée Luabou-Cabarro.

The Frenchman was invisible, even negative in the first half, but he made his appearance from the third period onwards, scoring 22 of his total 25 points and tasting his first victory in the Euroleague this year.

The match

Basconia started the match strongly. Laso's players led 24-15 in the first period with a three-pointer by Espanyol and by 10 points (35-25) in the 13th minute with a basket and a foul by Diallo. However, with Cabaro having a bad first half, they quickly saw the guests approaching and overtaking.

Wright, Bertans and Petrusev, having 11, 10 and 9 points respectively at the break, turned the situation around and took their team ahead at halftime with 41-42.

In the third quarter, the game took on a wild beauty with the two teams exchanging baskets and Cabaros “appearing” in the match and with 4/5 three-pointers in this period bringing his team ahead 64-60 at 30′.

With Cabaros becoming a factor in the match, while the rest of his teammates were not bad anyway, Baskonia found a way to develop a difference of 8 points (72-64) in the 34th minute and 10 points (78-68) in the 36th minute.

Shortly before the end, the Baskonia players seemed to be getting too nervous, perhaps understandable since they had not had another victory this season, but in the end they managed it and prevailed with 92-85.

Η Μπασκόνια πήρε την πρώτη νίκη της σεζόν αφού επιβλήθηκεμε με 92-85 απέναντι στην Dubai BC. Σπουδαία εμφάνιση του Χαμιντού Ντιάλο, αλλά και του Λουαβού-Καμπαρό ο οποίος πέτυχε 22 πόντους στο 2ο ημίχρονο.

Η Μπασκόνια πέτυχε την πρώτη της νίκη στη φετινή σεζόν, αφού επιβλήθηκε της Dubai BC 92-85 για την 7η αγωνιστική της Euroleague.

Σπουδαίος για τους γηπεδούχους ο Χαμιντού Ντιάλο με 14 πόντους, 8 ριμπάουντ και 3 ασίστ, αλλά σπουδαιότερος όλων για ακόμη μία βραδιά ήταν ο Τιμοτέ Λουαβού-Καμπαρό.

Ο Γάλλος ήταν άφαντος, ως και αρνητικός στο πρώτο μέρος, όμως έκανε την εμφάνισή του από την τρίτη περίοδο και μετά, πέτυχε 22 από τους συνολικά 25 πόντους του και γεύτηκε την πρώτη νίκη του στη Euroleague για φέτος.

Ο αγώνας

Η Μπασκόνια ξεκίνησε δυνατά την αναμέτρηση. Οι παίκτες του Λάσο προηγήθηκαν 24-15 στην πρώτη περίοδο με τρίποντο του Σπανιόλο και με 10 πόντους (35-25) στο 13ο λεπτό με καλάθι και φάουλ του Ντιαλό. Όμως με τον Καμπαρό να κάνει κακό πρώτο ημίχρονο είδαν γρήγορα τους φιλοξενούμενους να πλησιάζουν και να προσπερνούν.

Ράιτ, Μπέρτανς και Πετρούσεβ, έχοντας 11, 10 και 9 πόντους αντίστοιχα στην ανάπαυλα, ανέτρεψαν την κατάσταση και πήγαν την ομάδα τους μπροστά στο ημίχρονο με 41-42.

Στο τρίτο δεκάλεπτο το παιχνίδι πήρε άγρια ομορφιά με τις δύο ομάδες να ανταλλάσσουν καλάθια και τον Καμπαρό να “εμφανίζεται” στην αναμέτρηση και με 4/5 τρίποντα σε αυτό το διάστημα να φέρνει την ομάδα του μπροστά με 64-60 στο 30′.

Με τον Καμπαρό να γίνεται παράγοντας στην αναμέτρηση, ενώ οι υπόλοιποι συμπαίκτες του δεν ήταν κακοί έτσι κι αλλιώς, η Μπασκόνια βρήκε τον τρόπο να αναπτύξει μία διαφορά 8 πόντων (72-64) στο 34ο λεπτό και 10 πόντων (78-68) στο 36ο λεπτό.

Λίγο πριν τη λήξη οι παίκτες της Μπασκόνια φάνηκε να αγχώνονται υπερβολικά, ίσως και λογικό αφού δεν είχαν άλλη νίκη στη σεζόν, όμως τελικά τα κατάφεραν και επικράτησαν με 92-85.
