AEK led by Dehri Can Dehrioglou came out strong from the start (2-6, 8-13) and with Savatz made it 9-15. Matej 14-21 and Diouf closed the set with 16-25. In the second set, Herceg Novi came out more dynamically and the game was balanced at the beginning. But AEK, after 9-10, escaped in the score. With an ace by Savatz it became 11-16 and with a block by Kavadia it became 15-21. In the end, the set was completed with 20-25. In the third set, "Enosi" came in to "finish" the game and not give up any rights. Savatz made it 5-13 and with an ace from Diouf it was 7-16. The Montenegrins reduced to 17-22, but AEK prevailed in this set as well with 18-25.

Άλμα πρωτιάς στο Βαλκανικό Κύπελλο που δίνει και το εισιτήριο για το Challenge Cup έκανε η ΑΕΚ με τις «κιτρινόμαυρες» να επικρατούν με 3-0 και της Herceg Novi και να κάνουν το δύο στα δύο.

Το δύο στα δύο έκανε η γυναικεία ομάδα Βόλεϊ της ΑΕΚ στο Βαλκανικό Κύπελλο, καθώς επικράτησε 3-0 σετ της ισχυρής Herceg Novi από το Μαυροβούνιο, στην οποία αγωνίζονται μεταξύ άλλων η Σόουζα (που έπαιξε με τη φανέλα της ΑΕΚ την περσινή σεζόν), η Αργεντίνα κεντρική Γκραφ, η Βενεζουελάνα Γκαβίρια, η Βραζιλιάνα πασαδόρος Ταγκάουι και η διεθνής Μαυροβούνια Μπόκαν. Παρών στο γήπεδο ήταν ο Πρόεδρος της ΑΕΚ, Αλέξης Αλεξίου, που στηρίζει την προσπάθεια των «κιτρινόμαυρων», που αύριο (08/10, 20:00) δίνουν τον τρίτο και τελευταίο αγώνα για το τρόπαιο και την πρόκριση στο Challenge Cup απέναντι στην KV Drita.

Η ΑΕΚ του Ντεχρί Τζαν Ντεχριόγλου μπήκε εξ αρχής δυνατά (2-6, 8-13) και με την Σάβατζ έκανε το 9-15. Η Ματέι το 14-21 και η Ντιουφ έκλεισε το σετ με 16-25. Στο δεύτερο σετ, η Herceg Novi μπήκε πιο δυναμικά και το παιχνίδι ήταν ισορροπημένο στην αρχή. Αλλά η ΑΕΚ μετά το 9-10, ξέφυγε στο σκορ. Με άσο της Σάβατζ έγινε το 11-16 και με μπλοκ της Καββαδία το 15-21. Εν τέλει το σετ ολοκληρώθηκε με 20-25. Στο τρίτο σετ, η «Ένωση» μπήκε για να «τελειώσει» το παιχνίδι και να μην δώσει δικαιώματα. Η Σάβατζ έκανε το 5-13 και με άσο της Ντιουφ το 7-16. Η Μαυροβούνιες μειώσαν σε 17-22, αλλά η ΑΕΚ επικράτησε και σε αυτό το σετ με 18-25.
