Second important victory for Nea Ionia who defeated Panserraikos in the Zofria indoor stadium.

Nea Ionia reached 2/2 and confirmed that its start in this year's A1 Women's is not at all accidental. Giorgos Veltsistas' team was superior against Panserraikos, defended its home field and with the final 72-65 rose to the top of the standings, being the only team with two wins.

The home team came out strong, had control for most of the game and although the visitors pressed in the final (56-56 at 32’27”), they held on for the win with composure.

The leading scorer for Nea Ionia was Angeliki Vintsilaou with a complete performance (14 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 1 block), while Griggs was also valuable with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Stojanovska (13 points) and Clark (10 points, 8 rebounds) also finished in double figures.

For Panserraikos, Becky stood out with 18 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals, while Ronszek added 16 points and 9 rebounds, but could not prevent the defeat.

Δεύτερη σημαντική νίκη για τη Νέα Ιωνία που υπέταξε τον Πανσερραϊκό στο κλειστό της Ζωφριάς.

Η Νέα Ιωνία έφτασε στο 2/2 και επιβεβαίωσε πως το ξεκίνημά της στη φετινή Α1 Γυναικών δεν είναι καθόλου τυχαίο. Η ομάδα του Γιώργου Βελτσίστα ήταν ανώτερη απέναντι στον Πανσερραϊκό, υπερασπίστηκε την έδρα της και με το τελικό 72-65 ανέβηκε στην κορυφή της βαθμολογίας, ούσα η μοναδική ομάδα με δύο νίκες.

Οι γηπεδούχες μπήκαν δυνατά, είχαν τον έλεγχο στη μεγαλύτερη διάρκεια του αγώνα και παρότι οι φιλοξενούμενες πίεσαν στο φινάλε (56-56 στο 32’27”) , κράτησαν τη νίκη με ψυχραιμία.

Κορυφαία για τη Νέα Ιωνία ήταν η Αγγελική Βιντσιλαίου με ολοκληρωτική εμφάνιση (14 πόντοι, 4 ριμπάουντ, 8 ασίστ, 2 κλεψίματα, 1 μπλοκ), ενώ πολύτιμη ήταν και η Γκριγκς με 14 πόντους και 7 ριμπάουντ. Διψήφιες τελείωσαν επίσης οι Στογιανόβσκα (13πόντοι) και Κλαρκ (10 πόντοι, 8 ριμπάουντ).

Για τον Πανσερραϊκό, η Μπέκι ξεχώρισε με 18 πόντους, 6 ριμπάουντ, 7 ασίστ και 4 κλεψίματα, ενώ η Ρόνσιεκ πρόσθεσε 16 πόντους και 9 ριμπάουντ, χωρίς όμως να μπορέσει να αποτρέψει την ήττα.
