Thanks to their accuracy from the perimeter, the guests led 3-10, but our team, with a 6-0 run, reduced it to 9-10. Prishtina, however, maintained the lead, getting scores from several players and with Iraklis unable to find a rhythm. The first quarter ended 17-21.

The blue-and-whites showed themselves to be considerably improved in the second quarter, both in defense and offense. With a basket by Lambrecht, they went ahead for the first time with the score 30-28 and completing a 13-0 run, they made it 37-28, with the Belgian center providing important solutions, coming off the bench. Iraklis continued at the same pace, securing a 14-point lead, 45-31, before the 45-33 halftime score.

Giorgos Sigalas’ team had a steady double-digit lead until the last two minutes of the third quarter, but at that point they conceded eight unanswered points and the 65-52 became 65-60 at 30’.

The match became a derby in the last period. The blue-and-whites led 74-66 at 35’, but the Kosovars overtook them with 76-75, 1’20’’ before the end. With a basket and a foul by Ware, the home team regained the lead at 79-77 at 43’’ and in the next phase Burns made two free throws to make it 79-79 (at 14’’), which was the score at the end of the regular period, since the teams were unable to score in the remaining time.

Moraitis put Iraklis ahead at the start of the overtime with 81-79 and a 0-6 run followed that brought Sigal Prishtina ahead 81-85. Darko-Kelly, hitting a shot, made it 82-85 and at the end of the game Moraitis missed a three-point shot, which could have sent the match to a second five-minute extra period.

*Cole-John Syllas suffered a sprained right ankle in the first half and did not play the remainder of the match.

Χάρη στην ευστοχία τους από την περιφέρεια, οι φιλοξενούμενοι προηγήθηκαν με 3-10, όμως η ομάδα μας με σερί 6-0 μείωσε σε 9-10. Η Prishtina, ωστόσο διατήρησε το προβάδισμα, παίρνοντας σκορ από αρκετούς παίκτες και με τον Ηρακλή να μην μπορεί να βρει ρυθμό. Το πρώτο δεκάλεπτο έληξε 17-21.

Οι κυανόλευκοι παρουσιάστηκαν αρκετά βελτιωμένοι στο δεύτερο δεκάλεπτο, τόσο στην άμυνα όσο και στην επίθεση. Με καλάθι του Lambrecht πέρασαν για πρώτη φορά μπροστά στο σκορ με 30-28 και ολοκληρώντας ένα σερί 13-0 έκαναν το 37-28, με τον Βέλγο σέντερ να δίνει σημαντικές λύσεις, ερχόμενος από τον πάγκο. Ο Ηρακλής συνέχισε στους ίδιους ρυθμούς, εξασφαλίζοντας και διαφορά 14 πόντων, 45-31, πριν το 45-33 του ημιχρόνου.

Η ομάδα του Γιώργου Σιγάλα είχε σταθερά διψήφιο προβάδισμα μέχρι το τελευταίο δίλεπτο του τρίτου δεκαλέπτου, αλλά σ’ εκείνο το σημείο δέχθηκε οκτώ αναπάντητους πόντους και το 65-52 έγινε 65-60 στο 30’.

Η αναμέτρηση έγινε ντέρμπι στην τελευταία περίοδο. Οι κυανόλευκοι προηγήθηκαν με 74-66 στο 35’, αλλά οι Κοσσοβάροι προσπέρασαν με 76-75, 1’20’’ πριν το τέλος. Με καλάθι και φάουλ του Ware οι γηπεδούχοι ανέκτησαν το προβάδισμα με 79-77 στα 43’’ και στην επόμενη φάση ο Burns με δύο ελεύθερες βολές έγραψε το 79-79 (στα 14’’), που ήταν το σκορ στο φινάλε της κανονικής διάρκειας, αφού οι ομάδες δεν μπόρεσαν να σκοράρουν στον χρόνο που απέμενε.

Ο Μωραΐτης έβαλε μπροστά τον Ηρακλή στο ξεκίνημα της παράτασης με 81-79 και ακολούθησε ένα σερί 0-6 που έφερε τη Sigal Prishtina μπροστά με 81-85. Ο Darko-Kelly, ευστοχώντας σε μια βολή έγραψε το 82-85 και στην εκπνοή του παιχνιδιού ο Μωραΐτης αστόχησε σε σουτ τριών πόντων, που θα μπορούσε να στείλει το ματς σε δεύτερο έξτρα πεντάλεπτο.

*Ο Cole-John Syllas υπέστη διάστρεμμα στη δεξιά ποδοκνημική στο πρώτο ημίχρονο και δεν έπαιξε στο υπόλοιπο του αγώνα.
