“Three points” in El Paso and 2x2 for OFI

Eddie Salcedo’s goal in the 45th minute gave the Cretan team the precious “double” (0-1) at the home of Athens Kallithea and the absolute number of victories in the League Phase of the Cup.

The game evolved into a performance for one role in the first half, with OFI having the absolute superiority and missing a barrage of opportunities until it connected with the net.

In the 13th minute, Karachalios failed to find the target from an advantageous position. In the very next minute, a long-range shot by Fountas ended up out.

The Cretan team picked up…turns after the 30th minute and had two classic chances to score. In the 38th minute, Neira’s header from the height of the small area was cleared by Panagou before it crossed the line.

In the 43rd minute, Sengelia's shot from a shooting position went over the goal.

The visitors found their way to the net in the 45th minute. After a nice vertical pass from Karachalios, Salcedo gave OFI the lead (0-1) with a close-range shot.

The same scene of the match also in the first 20 minutes of the second half with OFI having the first…speech and missing a good chance for 0-2 with a shot by Karachalios in the 53rd minute.

A great opportunity for the home team to equalize in the 66th minute. After a nice individual effort by Katigio (with his entry into the match he raised…speed Athens Kallithea) the ball ended up in Sardelis who from the height of the penalty failed to beat Lilo.

The Athenian team chased its equalizer goal in the remaining minutes but failed to save the game and avoid its second defeat (after the 1-0 defeat by Panathinaikos at Leoforos) in the League Phase of the Cup.

OFI, after the easy victory (3-0) over Kavala in the premiere, paired its victories with a very good performance in the first 45 minutes.

Referee Papapetrou showed a yellow card to Krizmanic, Vasilogiannis, Sardelis, Apostolakis.

Το γκολ του Έντι Σαλσέδο στο 45’ χάρισε στην κρητική ομάδα το πολύτιμο «διπλό» (0-1) στην έδρα της Athens Kallithea και το απόλυτο των νικών στη League Phase του Κυπέλλου.

Σε παράσταση για ένα ρόλο εξελίχθηκε το παιχνίδι στο α΄ημίχρονο, με τον ΟΦΗ να έχει την απόλυτη υπεροχή και να χάνει μπαράζ ευκαιριών μέχρι ωσότου συνδεθεί με τα δίχτυα.

Στο 13΄ο Καραχάλιος δεν βρήκε στόχο από πλεονεκτική θέση. Στο αμέσως επόμενο λεπτό μακρινό σουτ του Φούντα κατέληξε άουτ.  

Η κρητική ομάδα ανέβασε…στροφές μετά το 30΄κι είχε δύο κλασικές ευκαιρίες για γκολ. Στο 38΄κεφαλιά του Νέιρα από το ύψος της μικρής περιοχής ο Πανάγου απομάκρυνε την μπάλα πριν περάσει τη γραμμή.

Στο 43΄προβολή του Σενγκέλια από θέση βολής πέρασε πάνω από την εστία.

Οι φιλοξενούμενοι βρήκαν το δρόμο προς τα δίχτυα στο 45΄. Έπειτα από ωραία κάθετη πάσα του Καραχάλιου, ο Σαλσέδο με κοντινό πλασέ έδωσε το προβάδισμα (0-1) στον ΟΦΗ.

Ίδιο το σκηνικό του αγώνα και στο πρώτο 20λεπτο στο β΄ημίχρονο με τον ΟΦΗ να έχει τον πρώτο…λόγο και να χάνει καλή ευκαιρία για το 0-2 με σουτ του Καραχάλιου στο 53΄.

Μεγάλη ευκαιρία για τους γηπεδούχους να ισοφαρίσουν στο 66΄. Έπειτα από ωραία ατομική προσπάθεια του Κατίγιο (με την είσοδό του στο ματς ανέβασε...ταχύτητα την Athens Kallithea) η μπάλα κατέληξε στο Σαρδέλη που από το ύψος του πέναλτι δεν κατάφερε να κερδίσει τον Λίλο. 

Η αθηναϊκή ομάδα κυνήγησε το γκολ της ισοφάριση στα εναπομείναντα λεπτά χωρίς όμως να καταφέρει να σώσει την...παρτίδα και να αποφύγει τη δεύτερη ήττα (μετά το 1-0 από τον Παναθηναϊκό στη Λεωφόρο) στη League Phase του Κυπέλλου. 

Ο ΟΦΗ μετά την εύκολη νίκη (3-0) επί της Καβάλας στην πρεμιέρα, ζευγάρωσε τις νίκες του με πολύ καλή εμφάνιση στο πρώτο 45λεπτο. 

Ο διαιτητής Παπαπέτρου έδειξε κίτρινη κάρτα στους Κρίζμανιτς, Βασιλόγιαννη, Σαρδέλη, Αποστολάκη.
