MotoGP - Austria: Unexpected pole position for Bezzek, M. Marquez crashes again
With an excellent lap, Aprilia's Marco Bezzek celebrated pole position in the MotoGP qualifying tests at the Red Bull Ring.
The battle for pole position at the Austrian Grand Prix proved to be exciting and highly subversive, with the MotoGP fans coming out on top. Aprilia's Marco Bezzek qualified from Q1, set the fastest time in Q2 and took his first pole position with the Italian team and his first since the 2023 Indian GP.
Alex Marquez of Gresini Racing will start the following races second, while Peco Banaia of his factory Ducati completed the front row. Marc Marquez made a serious mistake at the end of Q2, had a crash and this did not allow him to claim pole position.

Q1
The first battle of qualifying began with the riders pouring onto the track for their first fast passes. There were several riders who were favourites to qualify for the next phase, but a lot could happen in 15 minutes.
After the first passes at the top of the times was Aprilia's Marco Bezzecchi with a 1:28.409 and second was his teammate, Jorge Martin.
But in the end, the turnaround came with Enea Bastianini setting the fastest time with a 1:28.353 and Marco Bezzecchi qualifying with him in Q2. Luca Marini was 3rd and behind them were Jorge Martin, Fabio di Gianandono and Fabio Quartararo.
Q2
The battle for pole position began with the riders having 15 minutes to record the best possible time. After the first fast laps in 1st place was none other than Marc Marquez with a time of 1:28.220. Second was his brother, Alex and Peko Banaia was in 3rd place.
But everything was decided at the end of Q2. Banaia, Bezzek and A. Márquez started earlier than everyone else and this worked out for them even more. The one who was most favored was Bezzek of Aprilia, who recorded a time of 1:28.060 and took pole position.
A. Márquez was 2nd and Banaia 3rd, with M. Márquez having a fall at the crucial moment for the second race in a row and was limited to 4th place. Bastianini, Aldeguer, Acosta, Morbidelli, Fernandez, Mir, Binder and Zarco followed.
The Sprint Race follows at 16:00 Greek time.

Με έναν εξαιρετικό γύρο ο Μάρκο Μπετζέκι της Aprilia πανηγύρισε την pole position στις κατατακτήριες δοκιμές του MotoGP στο Red Bull Ring.
Η μάχη για την pole position του Grand Prix Αυστρίας αποδείχθηκαν συναρπαστικές και άκρως ανατρεπτικές, με κερδισμένους να βγαίνουν οι φίλοι του MotoGP. O Μάρκο Μπετζέκι της Aprilia προκρίθηκε από το Q1, έκανε τον ταχύτερο χρόνο στο Q2 και πήρε την πρώτη του pole position με την ιταλική ομάδα και πρώτη μετά το GP Ινδίας του 2023.
Δεύτερος θα ξεκινήσει τους αγώνες που ακολουθούν ο Άλεξ Μάρκεθ της Gresini Racing, ενώ την πρώτη σειρά συμπλήρωσε ο Πέκο Μπανάια της εργοστασιακής του Ducati. Ο Μαρκ Μάρκεθ έκανε σοβαρό λάθος στο τέλος του Q2, είχε πτώση και αυτό δεν του επέτρεψε να διεκδικήσει την pole position.

Q1
H πρώτη μάχη των κατατακτήριων δοκιμών ξεκίνησε με τους αναβάτες να ξεχύνονται στην πίστα για τα πρώτα γρήγροα περάσματά τους. Φαβορί για πρόκριση στην επόμενη φάση ήταν αρκετοί αναβάτες όμως πολλά μπορούσαν να συμβούν σε 15 λεπτά.
Μετά τα πρώτα περάσματα στην κορυφή των χρόνων ήταν ο Μάρκο Μπετζέκι της Aprilia με το 1:28,409 και δεύτερος ήταν ο teammate του, Χόρχε Μαρτίν.
Στο τέλος όμως ήρθε η ανατροπή με τον Ενέα Μπαστιανίνι να κάνει τον ταχύτερο χρόνο με το 1:28,353 και τον Μάρκο Μπετζέκι να προκρίνεται μαζί του στο Q2. O Λούκα Μαρίνι ήταν 3ος και πίσω τους ακολούθησαν οι Χορχε Μαρτίν, Φάμπιο ντι Τζιαναντόνιο και Φάμπιο Κουαρταραρό.
Q2
H μάχη της pole position ξεκίνησε με τους αναβάτες να έχουν 15 λεπτά στη διάθεσή τους για να γράψουν τον καλύτερο δυνατό χρόνο. Μετά τους πρώτους γρήγορους γύρους στην 1η θέση δεν ήταν άλλος από τον Μαρκ Μάρκεθ με χρόνο στο 1:28,220. Δεύτερος ήταν ο αδερφός του, Άλεξ και ο Πέκο Μπανάια ήταν στην 3η θέση.
Όλα όμως κρίθηκαν στο τέλος του Q2. Οι Μπανάια, Μπετζέκι και Α. Μάρκεθ βγήκαν πιο νωρίς απ’ όλους και αυτό τους βγήκε και με το παραπάνω. Αυτός που ευνοήθηκε περισσότερο ήταν ο Μπετζέκι της Aprilia, o οποίος έγραψε το 1:28,060 και πήρε την pole position.
O Α. Μάρκεθ ήταν 2ος και 3ος ο Μπανάια, με τον Μ. Μάρκεθ να έχει πτώση την κρίσιμη στιγμή για δεύτερο συνεχόμενο αγώνα και περιορίστηκε στην 4η θέση. Ακολούθησαν οι Μπαστιανίνι, Αλντεγκέρ, Ακόστα, Μορμπιντέλι, Φερνάντεθ, Μιρ, Μπίντερ και Ζαρκό.
Ακολουθεί ο Αγώνας Σπριντ στις 16:00 ώρα Ελλάδος.
