The Polish tennis player became the second fastest WTA athlete to reach 300 victories. After 372 matches, the world No. 3 is behind Serena Williams, who has achieved this after 360 matches.

Regarding the competitive aspect, Swiatek "cleaned up" the first set in 26 minutes, allowing her opponent to win just one game. With the lead in the match, Swiatek continued her pace, but Potapova became more competitive.
The world No. 45 may have been broken in the third game (2-1), but the reaction was immediate for 2-2. Then both held serve, with this year's Wimbledon champion taking advantage of a double break point in the 7th game (4-3).
This was the pivotal point in the second set, which gave Swiatek the comfort to take the set and at the same time celebrate the victory. In the next round, the former world No. 1 will face Marta Kostiuk, who earlier defeated Tatiana Maria 6-0, 6-1.

Όσον αφορά το αγωνιστικό κομμάτι η Σβιόντεκ στο πρώτο σετ «καθάρισε» μέσα σε 26 λεπτά, αφήνοντας την αντίπαλό της να κατακτήσει μόλις ένα game. Με το προβάδισμα στο ματς η Σφιόντεκ συνέχισε το ρυθμό της, ωστόσο η Ποτάποβα έγινε πιο ανταγωνιστική.
Η Νο.45 του κόσμου μπορεί να δέχθηκε break στο τρίτο game (2-1), όμως η αντίδραση ήταν άμεση για το 2-2. Στη συνέχεια αμφότερες κράτησαν το σερβίς του, με την κάτοχο του φετινού Wimbledon να εκμεταλλεύεται το διπλό break point στο 7ο game (4-3).
Αυτό ήταν και το κομβικό σημείο στο δεύτερο σετ, το οποίο έδωσε την άνεση στην Σβιόντεκ να πάρει το σετ και συνάμα να πανηγυρίσει τη νίκη. Στον επόμενο γύρο η πρώην Νο.1 του κόσμου θα αντιμετωπίσει τη Μάρτα Κόστιουκ, η οποία νωρίτερα επικράτησε της Τατιάνα Μαρία με 6-0, 6-1.
