Ο Λορέντζο Μουζέτι πήρε το πρώτο εισιτήριο για τα ημιτελικά του Roland Garros και οι Ιταλοί, που με τον Γιάνικ Σίνερ, το πιο πιθανό είναι να έχουν δύο παίκτες στην τετράδα, αρχίζουν να κάνουν όνειρα.

Ο Μουζέτι νικώντας τον Φράνσις Τιάφο με 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 για πρώτη φορά θα δώσει το «παρών» στα ημιτελικά του Roland Garros και στον 2ο ημιτελικό της καριέρας του σε Grand Slam μετά αυτόν στον περσινό Wimbledon απέναντι στον Νόβακ Τζόκοβιτς.

Κομβικό σημείο στον προημιτελικό με τον Τιάφο, ήταν το break που πέτυχε ο Μουζέτι στο 12ο game του 3ου σετ, κατακτώντας το με 7-5.

Μετά στο 4ο σετ προηγήθηκε 3-0, και χωρίς να κινδυνεύσει έφτασε στο 6-2 και στην πρόκριση, που τον φέρνει στο Νο.5 της παγκόσμιας κατάταξης.

Ο αντίπαλός του στον ημιτελικό θα αναδειχθεί από τον αγώνα ανάμεσα στον Κάρλος Αλκαράθ και τον Τόμι Πολ, που θα γίνει το βράδυ της Τρίτης (3/6).
