Shaben Lee (25 years old, 1.88m) will officially be an Olympiacos player for the rest of the current season, as well as for the next one, with the “red and whites” announcing the acquisition of the American with a 2.5-year contract

Shaben Lee (25 years old, 1.88m) officially belongs to the Olympiacos team, which announced his acquisition. The Piraeus team had to pay 550,000 euros as a buy-out to Manisa, which had recently refused a similar offer from Fenerbahce for the player and managed to register him in the EuroLeague, announcing today (27/2) his acquisition with a 2.5-year contract.

The red and whites began looking at the market for a guard due to the problem in the middle of Thomas Walkap that will leave him out of action for a while, since they wanted to be covered for every eventuality, while they managed to make a move that has a long-term perspective.

Lee played in eight games with Maccabi this year in the EuroLeague, averaging 12 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 19 minutes of participation. Given that he left the people's team before the end of the first round of the regular season, he will normally be eligible to participate with the red and whites in the top European club competition.

With Manisa, in 12 games of the Turkish championship, the 25-year-old guard had 18.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6 assists averaged in 31 minutes of participation.

Ο Σέιμπεν Λι (25 ετών, 1.88μ) ανήκει και επίσημα στο δυναμικό του Ολυμπιακού, που ανακοίνωσε την απόκτησή του. Η ομάδα του Πειραιά χρειάστηκε να πληρώσει 550.000 ευρώ ως buy-out στη Μανίσα, η οποία πριν λίγο καιρό είχε αρνηθεί αντίστοιχη πρόταση της Φενέρμπαχτσε για τον παίκτη και πρόλαβε να τον δηλώσει στην EuroLeague, ανακοινώνοντας σήμερα (27/2) την απόκτησή του με συμβόλαιο 2.5 χρόνων.

Οι ερυθρόλευκοι ξεκίνησαν να κοιτάζουν την αγορά για απόκτηση γκαρντ λόγω του προβλήματος στην μέση του Τόμας Γουόκαπ που θα τον αφήσει για ένα διάστημα εκτός δράσης, αφού ήθελαν να είναι καλυμμένοι για κάθε ενδεχόμενο, ενώ κατάφεραν να κάνουν μια κίνηση που έχει μακροπρόθεσμο πλαίσιο.

Ο Λι έπαιξε φέτος σε οκτώ παιχνίδια με τη Μακάμπι στην EuroLeague, μετρώντας κατά μέσο όρο 12 πόντους, 2.1 ριμπάουντ και 2.5 ασίστ σε 19 λεπτά συμμετοχής. Με δεδομένο ότι αποχώρησε από την ομάδα του λαού πριν το τέλος του πρώτου γύρου της κανονικής διάρκειας, θα έχει κανονικά δικαίωμα συμμετοχής με τους ερυθρόλευκους στην κορυφαία ευρωπαϊκή διασυλλογική διοργάνωση.
